Today we pause to honor #IndigenousPeoplesDay. In building an offshore wind industry in the U.S., we have the chance to work in true partnership with the sovereign Tribal Nations who have stewarded the environment for thousands of years. 🌎☀️🍃 This year, Vineyard Offshore was proud to: 🔹 Expand our Tribal Relations team 🔹 Forge a historic Tribal Benefits Agreement with the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe 🔹 Sponsor internships, workforce trainings, grants, and youth programs for Tribal members 🔹 Participate in regional powwows and events 🔹 Establish and strengthen relationships with Tribes on both coasts The work is far from over, and we look forward to growing our partnerships! Hear more from Brian Weeden, Chairman of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe ⤵️

Why do people get into offshore wind? 🌊For our New York Community Liaison Aaron Siegel there's a deeper purpose underpinning his day-to-day. "As a dad now with an 18-month-old baby, Excelsior Wind means a clean future for her." Aaron was born and raised in Queens and has since put down roots in Nassau County, Long Island, where he bops around hosting office hours, meeting with local partners, and engaging the community in #offshorewind development. More from Aaron on our proposed Excelsior Wind project for #NewYork ⤵️
