Visit Springfield, Missouri met with the Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Center and Women Business Center representatives to discuss marketing ideas and opportunities for 2026 and 100 year anniversary of Route 66. WBC and SBDC also learned about 2026 World Cup events coming to Kansas City. The group brainstormed ideas to help small businesses capitalize on the potential increase in tourists that the event will bring.

Visit Springfield, Missouri attended The Springfield Metro Partnership Salute to Missouri Legislators several weeks ago! The Salute provides the chance for businesses and community leaders from Springfield to interact with legislators and executive branch officials and discuss legislative priorities that are significant to area.

Several of our staff members attended the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce first Network event of the year! The Network is the premier organization for Springfield’s professionals under 40 who are interested in connecting with other young professionals, advancing their careers, filling leadership roles in the community, and building relationships with other business leaders.

It’s a Route 66 immersion trip! Several staff members took a mini road trip from Springfield, Missouri to Baxter Springs, Kansas to help educate visitors on the Route for the centennial celebration in 2026!
