➕ Your AI customer experience roadmap needs to roll into company strategy. It's the only way to get executive buy-in and support for early projects. That’s one reason why Sanlam Studios was able to build and scale their AI financial coach according to Peter Castleden. Sanlam sees giving strong financial advice as integral to its DNA. So Peter and his team said, “what if we could increase the availability of Sanlam’s advice through AI?” What the team built is pure value-add to an initiative the 106-year-old institution already saw as essential. Better yet, it now converts leads at 80% (3x better than the existing funnel). That’s how you get buy-in and create the AI products that will change your business.

We built a conversational check-in flow for JetBlue ✈️ Here's a flyby of how it works. Last week, Nicolas showed developers how to create an embedded chat widget with Extensions so users can choose their own seats, right from the check-in conversation. Tomorrow, Peter will share a front-end demo of how the JetBlue agent works from a user perspective, then dive into the backend for all the details on how it’s built. We’ll cover: ➕ Real-time passenger data retrieval and verification ➕ An AI-powered knowledge base for answering common airline queries ➕ Custom visual seat selection within the chat interface (thanks, Nico!) ➕ Intelligent conversation patterns using Anthropic Claude Sonnet 3.5 and OpenAI GPT-4o mini Head to voiceflow[dot]com/events to save a spot.

➕ More than 70% of CEOs believe GenAI will change the way their business works over the next 12 months. If you’re among them (or your CEO is), and you want a quick but thorough overview of the key considerations before you dive in, you’ll want to check out Denys’s new course live on LinkedIn Learning: an action-packed 15 minutes on LLMs for the enterprise. Reasons to watch and take notes: - how to access LLMs for your team - how to sanitize sensitive data for testing, prod - prompt chaining for different use cases - understanding security concerns before building https://lnkd.in/gY48b3tc

⚡ Introducing: Making Bots Meets Voiceflow Developer Lab Impactful AI customer experiences need two things: thoughtful conversational patterns & custom data/interface components. The design workflow thrives in our visual builder to create unique customer experiences through conversational patterns. But these agents level up with the developer workflow using functions, extensions, data integrations and custom interfaces. With that inspiration, we’re adding a developer element to our monthly Making Bots series. Now, Peter Isaacs’s builds will feature a custom integration, extension, or custom interface created in a new series: Voiceflow Developer Lab. Join us on tomorrow, August 21 for the first Developer Lab with Nicolas Arcay Bermejo: Seamless Seat Selection for JetBlue Airlines. Then, don’t miss August 28 when Pete will show off the full build in A Conversational Check-in Flow for JetBlue. Sign up for both at voiceflow .com/events. See you there!

🛠️ Introducing: Messages This new toolset is packed with patterns and functionality to help teams manage their responses at scale and build agents more efficiently. Some new tools for teams: - reuse responses across different workflows and components - any changes made to a reused message will propagate across all instances - create multiple variants of a response to cater to diverse scenarios - centralized view of where each message is used, who last edited it, and when it was last updated Thank you to Zoran Slamkov for the walkthrough and to our incredible team of engineers who consistently ship to the highest standard 🚢 #aiagents #conversationalai #voiceflow

“Oh, great, it’s time to check in for my flight,” you groan. Some airlines make this process easy. Today, the airline you’re flying seems to have built an intentionally mindboggling flow, where you have to enter your confirmation number three times and can never seem to load the seat selection modal (so you just give up, doomed to a middle seat). “Next time I’ll just pay more for [favorite airline],” you sigh. As the tool for building complex customer experiences using AI, making this process better — even enjoyable — with an AI agent is right inside our wheelhouse. This month on Making Bots, we have something a little special in store. Peter Isaacs has teamed up with Nicolas Arcay Bermejo from our Growth team (the developer behind our award-winning customer support agent, Tico) to show how best-in-class agents are built with a combination of designer and developer skillsets. Where Making Bots has focused on the prompts and patterns for building AI agents to achieve a specific business impact, we felt we were missing an opportunity to showcase Voiceflow’s advanced capabilities (most easily unlocked with developer resources). Next week (July 21), NiKo will be hosting the first Voiceflow Developer Labs to show how to build the seat selection chat widget extension Pete will use to create an end-to-end solution in Making Bots. Attend one, attend both - we’d love to show you everything you can do in Voiceflow. 🤖 Making Bots: A Conversational Check-in Flow for JetBlue 🗓 Wednesday, August 28 at 4pm ET Sign up at voiceflow. com/events You won’t want to miss: ✈️ Real-time passenger data retrieval and verification ✈️ An AI-powered knowledge base for answering common airline queries ✈️ Custom visual seat selection within the chat interface ✈️ Intelligent conversation patterns using Large Language Models, including Claude Sonnet 3.5 and GPT-4o mini Pete's creation doesn't just streamline check-ins—it reimagines them, showcasing how conversational AI can turn routine tasks into engaging, efficient interactions. #aicustomerexperience #aicustomersupport #aiagents
