WCVB Channel 5, in collaboration with Bernie & Phyl's Furniture, came together for a ribbon cutting for a special "5 Fixer Upper" project at Home Base Program National Center for Excellence in Charlestown, MA. Thanks to the generous support of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture and other community-focused partners of WCVB, Home Base is set to experience a rejuvenated outdoor space. This revitalization effort includes the addition of stylish patio furniture, fresh plants and shrubs generously provided by Volante Farms in Needham, MA, and a cutting-edge sound system courtesy of Level Up Automation in Northborough, MA. WCVB has served as Television Partner for Home Base Veteran & Family Care for over a decade. (18) Home Base Patio Ribbon Cutting - YouTube https://lnkd.in/ebaKC2pF>
Over the years, WCVB’s “5 Fixer Upper” initiative has identified several local non-profit organizations in need of a “makeover” and facilitated in-kind donations and services with advertisers. Past non-profit recipients include the Pine Street Inn, The Dimock Center Center’s Askia Academy, Girl Scouts of Eastern MA, The Home for Little Wanderers, and numerous others.
