Yesterday afternoon and evening, I attended the ABC Florida East Coast networking night, where we had a presentation from school board member Matthew Susin about the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Brevard County Public Schools. He discussed how Florida Tech students are mentoring high school students involved in these programs. Later that evening, I participated in the Lightle Beckner Robison, Inc. Seventh Annual Commercial Real Estate Forum. The event aimed to engage general contractors, developers, and top business leaders in the Space Coast area, generating excitement about the future growth prospects in the region. We gladly braved this morning's chilly weather to celebrate the groundbreaking of McCraney Property Company’s new office building in Winter Park. This 30,000 square foot mixed-use facility will anchor the bustling five-point intersection along Fairbanks Avenue while providing Class-A office space for McCraney and future tenants. The three-story building also includes space for retail on the ground floor, along with ample outdoor space to be enjoyed by both staff and pedestrians. Scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025, McCraney's new headquarter building will transform the Winter Park corridor, and we can’t wait to see the completed project! Thanks to everyone who joined us at the groundbreaking of the new ±30,000 square foot, three-story, Class A office and retail building at 1100 North Orange Avenue in the heart of Winter Park, Florida! McCraney Property Company closed on the ±1.88 acre property in early 2024 and plans to move their headquarters to the site. Office and retail space will also be available for lease in the building. The development team includes HuntonBrady Architects , WELBRO Building Corporation, LandDesign and Harbert Realty Services. Harbert’s Damien Madsen and Josh Smith will be spearheading the leasing efforts for the project. The building will be prominently located on the Orange Avenue Gateway into historic downtown Winter Park, adjacent to the City of Winter Park’s new Seven Oaks Park. The second and third floor office spaces will offer exceptional elevated balcony park views. The first floor will feature retail bays with prime visibility along South Denning Drive.
