As an increasing number of clinicians and insurance plans consider the merits of value-based care models, we recognize that it has the potential to benefit clinicians. But at the heart of these conversations is one essential question: How can value-based care models benefit both mental health care providers *and* the clients they work with?    That’s the question we’ll explore in our upcoming panel discussion paid for by Alma with Samuel Nordberg, Jana Dost, Elisabeth Morray, and Dylan Ross, PhD. During this conversation, they’ll discuss models that can help improve client access to high-quality care and how trust can be built between clinicians and insurance payers and share real stories and perspectives from other practicing clinicians.    RSVP here to join us on October 30: https://lnkd.in/gXGCGE3k

There’s one subject that can fill even the most confident providers with dread: progress notes. On top of the intensive time requirement, there’s often a lack of clarity on what “good” clinical documentation looks like—which can lead to stress around what insurance companies might look for in the event of an audit. That’s why we’re excited to host a discussion about efficient, stress-free progress notes with Alma's VP of Clinical, Elisabeth Morray, PhD, Ted Faneuff LISW-S, LMSW, LCSW, MBA, Head of Clinical Operations of Upheal, and Certified Professional Coder Sonda Kunzi

What comes to mind when you think about progress notes? If the answer is an unnecessary source of confusion, spending more time than you’d like to on documentation, or simply “stress”—you’re not alone. That’s what @Alma’s VP of Clinical, Elisabeth Morray, PhD, will be discussing in our upcoming webinar with Ted Faneuff LISW-S, LMSW, LCSW, MBA, Head of Clinical Operations of Upheal and Certified Professional Coder Sonda Kunzi. During the conversation, they’ll share tips for writing documentation that’s compliant and–importantly–clinically beneficial. They’ll also cover methods (both conventional and AI-supported) for incorporating note-taking into your practice in a way that works for you, your clients, and your work-life balance. One of the best ways to get the most out of your therapy experience is to discuss your experience… with your therapist. It can feel uncomfortable and even a little mortifying to open up about what’s working and what isn’t. That’s totally understandable — but your therapist isn’t a mind reader! By practicing advocating for yourself and naming what you need, you develop direct communication skills that will support not only the relationship you have with your therapist, but the relationships you have elsewhere, too. Not sure where to start? We’re offering up some scripts for you to tweak and try, with the hopes that this gives you and your therapist a strong starting point. Want more guidance around why therapy isn’t helping? Check out the blog post linked below for some of the common reasons why therapy doesn’t work and what to do should you encounter them.
