Position: Industrial/Manufacturing Business Development Manager
Location: Ohio region, job will require some travel around Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky region
Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Industrial/Manufacturing Business Development Manager with expertise in material sales, restoration, facility management, industrial restoration, or specific experience within the food or beverage industry. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and network to drive business growth, cultivate strategic partnerships, and expand our market presence in targeted sectors.
Responsibilities:
The Business Developer is an individual contributor at LRT that reports directly to the General Manager.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and strategies that meet client needs.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and competitive research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business plans to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights into industry-specific challenges, solutions, and best practices.
Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills. Ability to explain technical issues to non- technical employees and customers. Support and solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in business development within the industrial/manufacturing sector, with specific experience in material sales, restoration, facility management, and industrial restoration.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to engage with clients and attend industry events.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
