🚨🚨🚨CAREERS FAIRS 24/25 AT LSST 🚨🚨🚨 Calling all employers new and old, we have released the dates for three of our campuses careers fairs for the academic year 2024/25 and we are now LIVE for bookings. Five reasons you should add us to your calendar 📆 1. We have over 8,000 students across our campuses with the majority of them being mature and from disadvantaged backgrounds, you'll be giving our students the chance to change, not just their own life, but their families too! 👨👩👦 2. Our careers fairs are big events that bring together lots of different organisations, great for networking and meeting new people in the sector. 3. We only do GREAT catering, so you can guarantee a day out of the office and a damn good lunch! 🍉 🍗 🥙 🍔 🍳 4. We recently supported Horizon Health Network in preparation for a job fair, and let's just say, it went swimmingly!  They used our platform to create a lightning-fast landing page with a simple application form.  Horizon Health strategically placed the QR code throughout their booth, encouraging interested candidates to scan it and apply on the spot. The Career Fair is in less than a month now! 🗓️ Until then, let’s have a throwback look at the WorkInHealth Foundation’s launch event 2021. At the time, our goals were already well-established: 1️⃣ Address the evident and growing skills and talent gaps within the healthcare industry across Europe. 2️⃣ Promote healthcare as a sector in which talent can thrive. 3️⃣ Enable these talents to access this sector in various ways, and create a network that will support them in pursuing it. CareerCircle this is a question I have for all virtual career fairs and career fairs in general. Where is the list of companies that will be attending the event? From a user flow, you would think clicking on "Get more info" as we have given you all of our information would allow us to see a list of companies. All we are able to see is the companies between the two flyers you have provided. The one's on your website and the repost image: CVS Health, University of Maryland Global Campus, TEKsystems, GSK, Daikin Comfort, Comcast, Lincoln Financial Group, Actalent and Leidos. Maybe I am expecting this list too soon, however, as of this post it is 5 days before the fair and it would be nice if the candidates would be allow to do research on the companies that would be there to prepare custom resumes and cover letters if the companies have a slot open for are career interest. Please let myself and the individuals in my network who may read this post know where we can locate a full list of companies that will be at your career fair this Thursday for your #womenintech theme career fair.

These events are a great way to raise awareness of your organisation with students. When the job market is as competitive as it is, students and job seekers need a competitive edge, which VOLUNTEERING can help with. Yes, education and experience are the most important things, but breaking into an industry or gaining relevant experience can be challenging. Volunteering with organizations aligned with your goals allows you to build valuable connections and gain relevant or transferrable experience. When applying for roles, having supervisors from your volunteering experiences as references is also invaluable. Employers and recruiters want to see how your experience is relevant or transferrable to their needs. Demonstrating relevant experience with strong references significantly boosts your chances of landing the job!
