This year, I'm thinking about what it means to be a white Australian that supports the voice of First Nations people. When I think of this, two key questions come to mind... 1. How do I lead Symphona to be an organisation that recognises the hurt of First Nations people from atrocities committed against them; when my whole working life January 26 has been just another public holiday in that funny time of year that every second Tuesday is a holiday? 2. How do I teach my son about First Nations culture and history, when I myself am still learning? I don't have all the answers but this year I'm taking the 'I'll try and maybe I'll fail, but I'll still have tried" approach. What I'll be trying: - Giving people the option to work or take the day. Shoutout to Casey Farrell for giving me this option. One I hadn't ever thought about in my work life before. - Taking the day off myself and going to the Hobart rally - Heading off to camp and enjoy the land that always was and always will be First Nations land. - Reading 'Come Together' by Isaiah Firebrace with my son - Registering on https://lnkd.in/gQ_wHRmr What are you doing? #australia #work #learning #people #changethedate

Cooperatives are such an added value to our communities, ecomomy, cultures, and future. Cooperatives - center people first. What’s good for all involved, pooling resources together to spread the good, what are acts that have sustainable effects, instead of refractive effects, decisions that work to better lives, not strictly profit from them. Coops exist in so many facets of our lives. Whenever possible - choose a Co-op! • Credit Unions (don’t have outside stockholders - members are the collective shareholders - decisions benefit the members/membership) • Grocery Co-ops (like PCC, Central Co-op) • Home care co-ops • Electric Co-ops • Agricultural Co-ops • Retail co-ops (Ace Hardware) • Worker-Owner Co-op (growing trend among businesses where owners are aging out and selling business to employees collectively) • Housing Co-ops …. And much more. Worth celebrating. Wanna have a positive impact - join a Co-op!
Join us tomorrow as we celebrate the 102nd International Day of Cooperatives! Under the theme 'Cooperatives Building a Better Future for All', we'll showcase the sustainable contributions of cooperatives worldwide.

No Fences, Only Horizons! Embrace Sweden’s ‘Right to Roam’ for an unforgettable connection with nature. In Sweden 🇸🇪 , there is a law called “Allemansrätten,” or the “right to roam,” which allows people to freely explore and camp in most natural areas, even on private land without disturbing or destroying the environment. . . . #sweden #goe #gatewaysofeurope #exploreeurope #goeurope

Do you have excellent ideas for a Horizon Europe proposal but worry you lack the needed experience? You're not alone. This "chicken and egg" dilemma trips up many young researchers, but it doesn't have to stop you. Learn how to demonstrate "capacity" beyond just technical skills, offset inexperience through training and support structures, and leverage new evaluation procedures to get your foot in the door. Don't let this common challenge hold you back. Read the full tips for first-time coordinators in my blog post. https://lnkd.in/dv4pbTSC

Creating quality environments, advancing the circular economy in construction and real-estate and attempting to acheive both, by looking past the mundane. Here to achieve all of the above.
As Kustaa points out, every connection is a considerable improvement, increasing Pan-European reach in all walks of life. These are all vital for European future, of which the Nordics make up a significant component. The Fremen tunnel is additionally proof-positive of the Helsinki-Tallinn tunnel viability. With additional potential future connections the Nordic region and in particular the #FinEstBayArea are increasingly integrated into the global net of influence, offering much greater potential than one might assume, based on current market size or demographics.
Danish media reporting on our Finest Bay Area tunnel project. Well written article and detail quite correctly reported. Interesting question the journalist posed to me was the question: "don't we consider the Femern tunnel connecting Denmark and Germany as competition?". We have of course given this some thought and the answer is no. We need all the connections possible to make our European transport network more resilient. Finland is an island and more connections will improve its' position now and in the future. I can only hope our local Estonian and Finnish authorities and politicians would see the bigger picture too. https://lnkd.in/d7-eWci8
