The mission of Every Child Indiana is to be Hoosiers' guide to foster care and adoption so it can be easier to get involved. Every Child has gathered liscensed agencies like Choices, volunteer organizations, advocates, and the Department of Child Services to fill the biggest gaps in caring for children and families before, during, and beyond foster care. Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption) is changing outcomes for youth in the foster care system. Through targeted recruiting efforts, the program has:  - Doubled the Chances of Adoption: Children in the program are twice as likely to find permanent homes.  - Increased Adoptions by 50%: There’s a 50% increase in adoptions for children in foster care the longest.  Learn more:  https://lnkd.in/g75Q_z78

Have you heard about our Build-A-Box events? 💛📦 In a world where youth experiencing foster care will move households, on average, seven times within two years – where children and youth have so few things they call their own, that moving from one place to another means all their belongings will fit into a single bag…imagine what it would feel like for those children to open up a big box, custom-built just for them, filled with things they’ve wished for and need. Imagine how seen they would feel. Imagine how supported their fostering family would feel. Imagine the statistic-changing ripple effect this kind of support could have. 🤯 Charlotte Angels offers individual groups and corporate partners the opportunity to come together to build Love Boxes, filled with hand-picked items for children and youth experiencing foster care. The impact of these boxes extends beyond the items inside. The hope, support, and sense of belonging that comes along with them is tremendous.
