Are you a small organisation struggling to stand out in your grant applications? The larger organisations have a huge advantage: ⭕ Their existing track record, reputation and brand ⭕ More experience or resources to write a better application But as a smaller organisation you have an opportunity to standout by talking about how you'll solve the problem, showcase your organisation's unique perspective and flair, and how you'll work with the grantmaker to deliver a great outcome with the funding. Don't count yourself out just because of the competition — some funders are open to supporting smaller organisations, and how you craft your story in the grant application could be the game-changer.

The #1 question I received as a grant program manager was: 🤔 Are we eligible? The enquiring organisation was often technically eligible but unlikely to be offered a grant. ✨️ When you know "you" and your initiative has clearly defined activities, outputs and objectives, you can swiftly assess not only eligibility but also how strongly you're aligned to a funding opportunity. If you have a low application success rate, please get in touch. We can help you improve this and make more strategic decisions about grants. #purposeplus by Tender Plus https://lnkd.in/g7-aUHxB

Check out the latest blog post from my HayDay Services partner, Amanda Day. Raise your hand if you’ve ever been frustrated because a funder website: ▪️ Sent you round and round but never gave you information on their grant funding process ▪️ Shared who they awarded grants to, but never gave information on their grant application process ▪️ Told you they have shut down their open application process while they are conducting a new strategic planning process ▪️ Hid the fact that they don’t accept unsolicited proposals, wasting your precious time reading a million other things before stumbling on that tidbit ▪️ Did not share any contact information ▪️ Provided a list of Frequently Asked Questions that don’t answer a single question you have about their grant funding process Now that you’re raising your hand, know you’re not alone. In January, I joined Boyd Grants as their part-time Research Specialist, and since then I’ve been knee deep in grant prospect research projects. And let me tell you, the more I dig, the more I wish funders would understand the work of grant seekers. If I could wave my magic wand and “fix” a few things, these would be at the top of my list. That's why we have also increased the amount of funding for each grant. Discover more: https://zurl.co/0Z2E
