Happy International Women in Engineering Day! In celebration of the remarkable achievements of women engineers across the globe, we are proud to spotlight one of our own: Project Manager II, Kalyn R. Partin, P.E. Kalyn began her career at a firm in Sulphur, LA, before joining the Lake Charles District of Louisiana Department Of Transportation and Development, where she advanced to District Construction Coordinator and Water Resource Engineer over seven and a half years. In 2023, she joined Atlas to help establish a new office in Lake Charles, LA. Kalyn has been an active member of the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES) for 10 years, serving in various roles, including State Membership Committee Chair. She is also involved with the Louisiana Floodplain Management Association, Fusion Five, and Life United Church. In 2022, she was appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards to the Chenier Plain Restoration and Authority Board. Recently, Kalyn received the N. Dakota Hill Outstanding Chapter President Award from the Louisiana Engineer & Surveyor Journal, in collaboration with LES and the LOUISIANA SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL SURVEYORS (LSPS). This prestigious award acknowledges her exceptional leadership, dedication, and meaningful contributions to the engineering and surveying communities in Louisiana. She was also honored by Thrive Magazine on their “Thirteen Thriving 30-Somethings” list, which recognizes accomplished individuals in their thirties who have significantly contributed to their fields. Join us in celebrating Kalyn and all the women making strides in engineering! #INWED #WomenInEngineering #DEI #EngineeringExcellence #Leadership
