Molgas Energy Holding, a prominent European small-scale LNG player, has marked a significant milestone by completing its inaugural LNG bunkering operation in Germany. Teaming up with Norwegian shipping company UECC, Molgas orchestrated the first-of-its-kind truck-to-ship bunkering operation on March 17th at the port of Cuxhaven. During this operation, UECC’s LNG-powered hybrid Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC), the Auto Achieve, was fueled with 100 metric tons of LNG sourced from multiple trucks. Gate terminal B.V., a pivotal player in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, has launched a non-binding call for expression of interest to gauge market demand for small-scale ship loading services at its upcoming jetty, Jetty 4. This strategic move aims to assess interest in the provision of loading services for LNG, Bio-LNG, and synthetic LNG. Currently, Gate Terminal operates small-scale ship loading services primarily for the marine bunkering market at Jetty 3. 🇪🇸 ➡️ Enagas quadruple its supply of LNG for bunkering Enagás has solidified its standing as a premier European operator in the decarbonization of maritime transport via the provision of LNG for bunkering. The quantity of LNG supplied as fuel by Enagás-managed facilities in 2023 reached 1,359 GWh, marking a more than four fold increase compared to 2021 (300GWh). The increased utilization of LNG has enabled the prevention of over 74,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions, as well as virtually eliminating emissions of sulfur and nitrogen oxides (SOx and NOx), thereby enhancing air quality within port surroundings. #LNG #Enagas #LNGbunkering

Pavilion Energy has marked a significant milestone in the maritime industry with the successful deployment of its newbuild LNG Bunker Vessel Brassavola for her maiden Ship-to-Ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation. The operation saw the delivery of 1970 metric tonnes of LNG to the Rio Tinto chartered dual-fueled bulk carrier Mount Api, consolidating Pavilion Energy’s commitment to advancing decarbonisation goals in the sector. The operation, conducted in the port of Singapore, showcased the capabilities of the Singapore-built Brassavola, the nation’s first Membrane LNG Bunker Vessel. Hamina LNG Oy is celebrating a triumphant start to the year with a flurry of activity and newfound interest in their services, resulting in the acquisition of new customers. This week marked a historic milestone for the company as they successfully concluded the first-ever ship LNG bunkering at the Hamina LNG terminal. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort with Rohe Solutions Oy and Glander International Bunkering. The burgeoning interest in Hamina LNG comes at a time when the number of ships utilizing LNG/LBG (liquefied natural gas/liquefied biogas) is on the rise. Utilizing Hamina LNG’s refueling arm at their berth offers significant advantages, ensuring ships receive a full tank of colder LNG directly from storage. In response to the escalating demand, Hamina LNG has announced the availability of spot capacity during the months of April to June. While the current storage booking level remains high, there is still space available from April onwards.
