Episode 38 of the Thriving Business podcast is live! In this episode, Sam and I discuss how branding and graphic design can either make or break your business. While we be no means claim to be graphic design experts (we have a bunch of talented designers who we refer to - see below), we’ve seen enough of the good, the bad and the ugly over the years to be able to advise clients on what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to your online presence. In our discussion, we emphasise the need for professional input and guidance in creating a strong visual identity. We highlight the significance of colour theory, font selection, white space and ‘kerning’ plus a bunch of other do’s and don’ts that we hope you find helpful! If you need professional input, please reach out to great designers like Mark Hansel at GrandDog Design, Sally Jaquet at BlaqJaq Design or Tracy Fryer at Design Studio Perth. ➡️Go here to listen to the episode: https://buff.ly/3Z75aQb #thrivingbusiness #thrivingbusinesspodcast #branding #brandingdesign #brandingstrategy

🎙️ Confession: I don’t know why, but I love making podcast thumbnails. Seriously, there’s just something about it. Is it the challenge of squishing all that personality into one little square? The rush of finding that perfect blend of bold colors and clever text? Maybe. Or maybe I’m just obsessed with giving podcasters a scroll-stopping first impression. 🤷♂️ I get it, the podcast world is loud. And if your thumbnail isn’t eye-catching, it’s like whispering in a rock concert. So, I’m here to make sure that doesn’t happen. 😎 Need a thumbnail that screams “click me”? Hit me up. Let’s make your podcast impossible to ignore. 🎧🔥 Podcast Thumbnails #DesignWithAttitude Graphic Designer Thumbnail Designer Youtube Thumbnail Designer #PodcastThumbnailDesigner

Here Are The Top 4 Most Important Things To Keep In Mind Before Creating a Podcast Thumbnail..... . . 1. Choosing The Right Text - You want viewers to catch the main idea at a glance, so stick to just a few words that really capture what your podcast episode is about. 2. Facial Expressions - Choose visuals that go with the emotion or vibe of your episode. Whether it’s excitement, curiosity, or something more serious, your thumbnail should give people a sense of what they’ll feel when they listen. 3. Keep It Clear and Simple - A good thumbnail doesn’t need to be complicated. Make sure it’s easy to understand even when it’s small. Focus on a straightforward design that communicates your podcast’s theme without overwhelming the viewer. 4. Brand Indentity - Use colors, fonts, and images that reflect your podcast’s identity. This consistency helps build recognition and trust, making your audience feel more connected to your content. . . I have re-designed this thumbnail for ( The Financial Planner Life Podcast) . . Most of podcast pitches I get suck but thankfully, the one that I got for this interview today didn't. It clearly worked, mainly due to the fact that they listen to the show, had a relevant topic idea with a point of view, plus they’re really knowledgeable about the work they do. Anyway, today's episode features Nina Farrell from &Agency and Emma Hutton from Hutton and is all about brand and storytelling but from a consultant's perspective. Nina and Emma are two consultants that I've known for quite a while who work predominately with mid-sized architecture firms. Key discussion topics include: - Understanding the connection between storytelling and brand - How to develop your brand strategy to differentiate your practice - The need to build strong brand foundations - Whether brand or strategy is a 'dirty' word - Ways to uncover client perceptions about your firm It was a total pleasure to record this one - so I hope you enjoy it. Do let me know what you think of this one.
