Join us in donating #solar and #storage installations to those in need! After donating 1️⃣ 5️⃣ installations across Europe and South Africa 💪 as part of Menlo Electric's program Energy to Power Your Future, we are moving to a much broader initiative: Solar2Share Collective 🤝 Through Solar2Share, any manufacturer, distributor or installer will be able to donate equipment or workmanship to help deliver solar power to those in need. Solar2Share carries out the project management start-to-finish, raising donations, arranging logistics and offering technical support, as needed. And it takes care of the promotion activities, too! Solar2Share already has 20 projects in its pipeline, but is open to adding more. So, if there is an institution, region or country you feel particularly strongly about supporting - feel free to propose it. Are you interested in joining Solar2Share? Feel free to reach out to Nataliia Cherepovska, who coordinates our participation in the program. Last but not least: progressing to Solar2Share means that we are retiring our own Energy to Power Your Future CSR program. It's been a phenomenal, albeit also challenging experience. It took us months to deliver the first 2 installations. We had to coordinate suppliers, installers, arrange legal framework, carry out logistics - frequently it was a first project of this kind for everyone involved. I wanted to thank to our persistent and dedicated team, coordinated by Krystyna Kacperska, Corina Serban and Nataliia Cherepovska. But in fact, every department was involved: procurement, legal, finance, customer service, logistics, sales, technical support. It was a great example of living our values: #responsibility #care #desire #synergy #versatility A huge thank you also to all our partners, for the donations and commitment 🙏 Now, let's donate more and more installations together through Solar2Share! #solar #pv #csr #corporateresponsibility

This is what happens when you leave me to organise my own work travel. I'm going over to HFW's Paris office in early June to talk to the Partners about comms and profile raising, and while looking at transport options for the trip, a thought popped into my head: "I could just cycle there..." Those who know me even a little bit will know that once I've got an idea in my head about a ridiculous cycling challenge, I may as well resign myself to the fact that I'm doing it. But this has been particularly impulsive, even for me. I only had the idea last week, and now everything is booked and finalised, and I set off in less than a month, leaving me virtually no time to train. (Better hope those commuting miles pay off...) The premise is simple: travel from HFW's London to Paris office in a single ride. In practice, this means 300km on the bike, across two countries, solo and unsupported. As an added challenge, I'm aiming to finish within 24 hours - including the overnight ferry crossing. In case that wasn't quite enough time in the saddle, I have to cycle from my home to the London office before I even start the challenge (adding 20km), and, me being me, I've also decided to cycle the UK section of the return journey - another 100km. I am a very keen cyclist, but this ride will be a serious test for me - physically and mentally. I'm undertaking this highly questionable endeavour to raise funds for HFW charity partner Renewable World, which does fantastic work in enabling communities in Africa and Asia to escape energy poverty by installing community-owned solar power systems. I did a two-day ride from Durham to Edinburgh a few years ago for Renewable World, and I'm really proud to be working with them again on this. If you would like to support their vital work (and to give me a much-needed morale boost), you can donate here: https://lnkd.in/eAM9S4tG Any donations - no matter how small - really would be much appreciated. #Renewables #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergy #GreenEnergy #WindPower #SolarPower
This June, our Head of Communications Chris Johnson will be cycling between HFW's London and Paris offices to raise money for Renewable World. He will be riding solo and entirely unsupported, and will be attempting to complete the 300km route within 24 hours - including the overnight ferry crossing. If you would like to donate, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/es6AWnSY HFW has been working with Renewable World for the past eight years, and we are proud to continue to support its important work in tackling poverty in Africa and Asia by providing communities with access to clean energy. #Renewables #RenewableEnergy #RenewablePower #CleanEnergy #GreenEnergy #SolarPower

We're pleased to share the positive impact of our rooftop #solar project with Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada: "In the first two-and-a-half years since the solar installation and LED retrofit, CCSN has exceeded its savings forecasts and reduced its carbon footprint by an estimated 651 tons of CO2 each year. That’s the equivalent of removing 141 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles from the road for one year. The project is also insulating CCSN from recent inflation in Nevada Energy’s cost of electricity (just over 21% increase since 2021), due to a fixed annual price escalator locked in by their Power Purchase Agreement." NnG offshore wind farm continues to underline its commitment to supporting local communities through sponsorships and grants totalling almost £50,000 over the last two years. As part of its commitment to support local communities, the wind farm has supported charities and local organisations in Fife, which is closest to the wind farm itself, and in Berwickshire and East Lothian, close to its operations and maintenance centre in Eyemouth. A total of 41 donations, ranging in value from £100 to £3,500 have been made; £19,628 in 2023 and £29,837 in 2024 respectively. NnG Project Director, Matthias Haag, said: “NnG offshore wind farm has a significant role to play in helping Scotland and the UK to achieve their net zero carbon emission targets. Throughout the project we have been working hard to be good neighbours to those geographically closest to the project and this will continue to operation and beyond..." In QLD labour have spent $2.8 billion on billboards promoting renewables. In response communities have set up donated container billboards challenging the claims of green, clean and cheap. Are local communities really being heard? How do these clean energy targets align with the protection of numerous threatened species? #wildlifehabitatsareunrenewable #communityengagement #communities #threatenedspecies
