Today is World Children’s Day. As our society is starting to reflect on children’s rights in the digital world (including the right to be safe), it is also an opportunity to reflect on how much of a priority they are (should be) in our social and economic policies.

Today we're celebrating World Children’s Day! On November 20th, the world unites to honor and celebrate the rights of children everywhere. This day stands as a reminder that children are not only the future but deserve respect, protection, and opportunities today. The day symbolizes our collective commitment to building a better world for future generations. For the fifth consecutive year, Glaston as part of Ahlström Collective Impact joins forces with UNICEF Finland to raise awareness about Child Rights in the context of the World Children’s Day celebrations. Childhood is a pivotal phase in life, establishing the foundation for lifelong success by nurturing cognitive abilities, emotional wellness, social competence, and robust physical and mental health. In 2024, the focus is on education and the gift of reading. We support Suomen UNICEF – UNICEF Finland’s work for children's rights, especially every child’s right to learn. A spelling mistake is just one of the consequences of a child not receiving sufficient support in their education at school, not going to school, or not getting quality education.
