This year, we're skipping presents to support a very special kind of bird. 🐦🌲🚀   Wherever Duravit is, there's a capercaillie. For over 250 years, the bird has symbolized our Black Forest homeland. But while the capercaillie has been proudly represented on our products, its real-life counterpart is fighting for survival in the Black Forest.   To ensure that the Black Forest capercaillie continues for many more centuries and help stop their numbers from declining further, we are donating to "Auerhuhn im Schwarzwald e. V." Though our production and showrooms are global, our company roots remain in Hornberg. And as a Black Forest company, we maintain responsibility for our immediate environment.   We are fortunate to collaborate with the team from "Auerhuhn im Schwarzwald" in maintaining a capercaillie-friendly forest. There are many food rescue organisations throughout the country, commonly run by community groups.
