Curtiss-Wright's remarkable record of mass production and #innovation during the demands of World War II is a turning point moment in #AviationHistory. 🛩️ In 1940, the world was introduced to the iconic Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, an American single-engine fighter bomber which went on to have a production run of nearly 14,000 planes, serving in the Air Forces of 28 nations during World War II. During this period, Curtiss-Wright produced: ✔ 142,840 aircraft engines ✔ 146,468 electric propellers ✔ 29,269 airplanes, including the Curtiss C-46 Commando transport and the Navy dive bomber, the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver.
