🌟 Exploring Our Internal Family Systems (IFS) Skills Group! 🌟 Are you curious about discovering the different parts of yourself and how they interact? Our Internal Family Systems (IFS) skills group might be the transformative journey you've been seeking. At Emerge Treatment, we offer a dedicated IFS skills group designed to help individuals explore and harmonize their inner worlds. Here’s a glimpse into what makes IFS therapy so impactful: 🔹 Understanding the Parts: IFS views the mind as a system of sub-personalities or "parts," each with its own perspectives and roles. These parts can be protective, vulnerable, or even burdened by past experiences. 🔹 Self-Leadership: At the core of IFS is the concept of the Self - a calm, compassionate, and centered aspect of each person. Through IFS therapy, you'll learn to access and lead from your Self, fostering internal harmony and healing. 🔹 Healing Through Integration: By acknowledging and understanding our parts, we can transform them from roles of conflict to roles of support. This integration leads to a more balanced and fulfilled life. 🔹 Safe and Supportive Environment: Our IFS therapy group provides a safe space to explore and share your inner experiences. Guided by skilled therapists, you'll connect with others on a similar journey, fostering mutual support and growth. If you’re ready to embark on a path of self-discovery and healing, join us at Emerge Treatment! Let's work together to nurture your inner family and empower your true Self. For more information, visit our website www.emergeutah.com or contact us at 801-978-3236. #IFSTherapy #MentalHealth #SelfDiscovery #TherapyGroup #EmergeTreatment #InnerHealing #SelfLeadership

If you feel apprehensive about your first group therapy session, here are 3 ways to prepare and make the most out of your sessions. 1️⃣ Be clear on the group rules Take a moment to understand what is expected of all group members, if you are unsure then speak to the group analyst leading the group beforehand. They will be able to reassure you and answer any questions. 2️⃣ Set your personal goals Think about what you'd like to achieve through group therapy. You will have discussed these with the group analyst before joining the group, these may change over time but having clear goals when you start is a good idea 3️⃣ Prepare to share Group therapy is a collaborative effort. Embrace the power of sharing. Be open about your experiences and, equally important, lend a listening ear to others. The richness of the group lies in the exchange of perspectives and stories. Just one more thing 👇 Confidentiality is key to group therapy. What's shared in the group stays in the group. This creates a safe space for vulnerability and authentic connection. We are a network of experienced and highly qualified group analysts running groups online and in person. You can check which groups have availability on our websites. #mentalhealth #therapy #grouptherapy #wellbeing

Psychologist & Clinical Family Therapist. Creator of Helping Families Thrive Cards. Founding Director of Queensland Institute of Family Therapy.
At QIFT we are starting the year Systemically, including a focus on Self-care! Why a focus on being systemic? Systemic thinking and practice provides so much maneuverability in taking the "helicopter view" and allows us to think and work in ways that can be tailored to our individual client's situation in strengths-based, effective ways to help bring about change, growth, and healing. Why a focus on self-care? Well, as Family Therapists we pay attention to the "self of the therapist" (AKA self of the helping professional) because we know just how important it is in the work that we do. This is in terms of considering the therapeutic relationship, not being able to fill from an empty cup, awareness of potential for compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, and being aware of what we bring with us as therapists in our "backpack of life". And, because you deserve it!! You're a person too and you deserve to feel well as you do the work you do. It's been a tough couple of years, so let's keep this as a focus. Stay tuned this month for a variety of resources to kick start 2024 systemically! #systemictherapy #familytherapy #selfcare #youmatter #familytherapy Kate Owen

Empowering Positive Change: Navigating Challenges Beyond Therapy Sessions In our pursuit of instilling positivity and fostering transformative change, our therapy sessions are centered around equipping individuals with tools to embrace positive affirmations and cultivate an optimistic mindset. However, an emerging challenge has caught our attention – the profound impact of a pessimistic familial environment. It's truly disheartening to witness scenarios where individuals actively participate in discussions, absorbing constructive insights during therapy sessions, only to return home to an atmosphere steeped in negativity. Despite the dedication we invest in our 45-minute sessions, the persistent undercurrent of pessimism throughout the day poses a significant obstacle to sustained progress. Recognizing the need for a more comprehensive approach, we are motivated to explore avenues for collaboration with families. Our goal is to extend the transformative impact of positivity beyond the confines of the therapy room, aiming for a holistic shift in both individual and familial thought patterns. This journey calls for a collective effort to delve deeper into the root causes of negativity and collaboratively devise strategies that create lasting change. We remain committed to our mission of not only initiating positive shifts during therapy hours but also empowering individuals and their families to embody positivity throughout every facet of their lives. Together, let's continue our shared mission of spreading resilience, fostering optimism, and creating a ripple effect of positive change that transcends the boundaries of therapeutic sessions. #PositiveChange #TherapyApproach #HolisticWellbeing #EmpowermentJourney #CollaborativeHealing

🎉 This week starts a new series on “How to treatment plan for multi-day intensives”! Multi-day intensives are typically referred to as “intensive packages” - and this can look many different ways. You get to decide what works for you (and your client). A lot of clients like to do an intensive package over the weekend. But, keep in mind, I’m NOT telling you to schedule out all your weekends with intensives, ON TOP of your current weekly caseload. ❌ 🗓️ I would encourage you to decide ahead of time how many weekends you want to set aside each month for intensives and how you’ll balance that with your weekly clients (if you continue to do traditional therapy). Then, you can decide if you want your intensive packages to be multiple days, back-to-back, or if you want to spread the days out a bit. Maybe, you don’t want work weekends at all - and that’s cool, too! There are tons of clients who can (and WILL!) make those weekday packages work in their schedule because they understand the benefits of an intensive model. 🤩 There’s no right or wrong choice when deciding how to schedule packages. Again, it’s all about what works best for you! 💟 Want to know more about how I treatment plan for multi-day therapy intensives? Lmk in the comments or send a DM! ✉️ This is just a 30 second clip from a 30 minute free training I did - the recording is posted in my Facebook group. Helping highly sensitive, deep thinkers find lasting emotional health | Talk-, somatic and creative therapies | Trauma and Giftedness specialist | Child Mental Health Advocate | Qualified Teacher
How would you like to feel different in 2024? When my clients leave therapy, they often tell me of a deep change that has taken place during our months together, a feeling that can be difficult to quantify. They feel different on the inside. Because of this, they feel ready to stride out with renewed confidence and hope for the future, knowing that they have the inner resources to meet life's challenges in a new way. This is the transformation that depth-therapy can bring, and not just for my clients - I also speak from personal experience of having had therapy myself. 🌷 There is never any judgement. 🌷 There is always a listening ear. 🌷 There is a wealth of compassion based upon my experience of listening to people who are exactly where you are now. Therapy can help you feel calmer, more at peace, and happier in yourself. And it can happen for you too, even if things have been difficult for a long time. I am only a message away, and no issue is too small. I have 5 new spaces available in January 2024 - DM me to book your 20-minute introductory call. #emotionalhealth
