Here are the key takeaways from our discussions: ☑ 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝟮𝗫 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀: Many OEMs are gearing up to launch new V2X-ready platforms, indicating significant progress in the industry. ☑ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: A strong interoperability framework is crucial to prevent technology lock-in, ensuring consumers access the best solutions. ☑ 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀: V2X technology can transform power systems, facilitating effective #decarbonisation while managing costs for end users. ☑ 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Rapid deployment of the new #RepowerEU and #DSF Network Code is vital, alongside necessary reforms in the #ElectricityMarketDesign. ☑ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Bidirectional charging should do more than save money; solutions should be user-friendly and attractive enough to gain traction independently, without relying solely on government incentives. Building consumer trust is a critical responsibility for the #FlexibleDemandManagementIndustry. ☑ 𝗨𝗞’𝘀 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 & 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦): Interoperability is key to the UK's SSES program. Progress is being made, but integrating bidirectional charging remains a priority aligned with international standards. Thanks to the smartEn Smart Energy Europe team to have organised this lively dinner around Enlit Europe to exchange on how to best favor #V2X deployment across Europe. It was incredible to have it exactly the same day when the #emobility coalition initiated by the German government, and Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister Robert Habeck, released its new paper, outlining recommendations to scale up #V2X technology to accelerate renewable integration at minimum #Grid reinforcement costs for citizens. We dcbel were proud to contribute to the paper to highlight necessary IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards actually exist to cover all needed data exchanges from market and grid real-time operation through #VPP and Flexibility Service providers towards #CPO, Home Energy Stations and Public Charging Points down to Battery management within cars. It is great to see such positive European alignment. Looking forward next implementation steps to support the European energy system decarbonation at minimum costs to end users.
