Tea and coffee production depends on a healthy climate and environment, which is why Finlays’ Climate Net Zero sustainability pillar is all about “proacting the planet to safeguard tea and coffee”. In our latest sustainability report, we share the progress we made in 2023 which included: ✓ Completing the 2022 baseline for Finlays’ greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions ✓ Submitting targets to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation (January 2024) ✓ Decreasing energy usage by 8% in 2023 versus 2022 ✓ Increasing rainwater and recycled water usage by 18% versus 2022 ✓ Initiated our approach to good water stewardship by assessing our water data and risk profile ✓ Began working on our no-deforestation approach ✓ Conducting a climate risk assessment in line with the framework of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) ✓ Completing a life cycle analysis of tea production in Argentina ✓ Investing in a 470kWp rooftop solar system in Sri Lanka ✓ Successfully trialling an electric vehicle in Kenya Find out more https://lnkd.in/eUpuW_qC #ThisIsFinlays #Sustainability #BeverageSolutions
