What an incredible time we had at this year's President's Club trip in Nashville, TN! 🤠 Employees brought their A-game to Freedom’s Amazing Race competition on Broadway. During this exciting downtown adventure, teams raced against each other and followed clues to win fun prizes! Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to everyone who participated! 🎉Your enthusiasm and spirit made this event unforgettable. We can't wait to see what next year holds! #SoarWithUs

Sometimes, what got you there won't get you where you want to go. Good advice in business, and good advice in going for it on 4th down. So, now the teams are set and I've picked my team for the Big Game. Here's some more good advice: Send in your nomination for this week's Nice Guy/Gal Awards. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EDT this Thursday. There are only 3 requirements: 1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate 2) you can only nominate one person per week 3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀 If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement. Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice. Have a great day, everyone. https://lnkd.in/eY55XpTq #network #sportsbiz #people #niceguy #networking #sportsmarketing

On this 22nd anniversary of 9/11, please take a moment to think about all the souls lost that day. And then think about the resilience this country, and especially the city of New York, showed in the weeks, months and years that followed. I started these awards to shine a light on good people. So, let's open up the nominations once again. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EDT on Thursday. There are only 3 requirements: 1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate 2) you can only nominate one person per week 3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀 If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement. The Oscars 2024; we're not sure what shone brighter the stars, the statues, or John Cena’s full moon…. We tracked the full #Oscars conversation online. Well, that game certainly didn't disappoint. And the market wasn't bad either. It still remains to be seen whether the powers that be (i.e., the casino owners) want Vegas to host another #SuperBowl, but it seems to have been a great day/weekend/week in Sin City. Let's have another great week by starting it with opening nominations for the Nice Guy/Gal Awards. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). Conferences can be incredible opportunities for learning, networking, and gaining inspiration. It's always a great feeling when an event exceeds expectations and leaves a positive impact. I hope you were able to gain valuable insights, connect with like-minded individuals, and feel energized by the experience. Conferences have a way of bringing people together, fostering collaboration, and igniting new ideas. May the knowledge and inspiration you gained continue to guide you on your path to success. What an incredible week at the 2023 3ACE National Conference. It was truly and honor & privilege to work alongside true game changers in secondary and post secondary education. The energy was real and the knowledge and insight shared was profound. I am grateful for Brady Rourke and his staff for their gracious hospitality and 1st class amenities. I am also thankful for our speakers and presenters who provided an impact beyond words. Lastly, the 3ACE and AthLife staff who worked tirelessly to bring it all together. #bestconferenceever Looking forward to 2024! Chief Marketing Officer who aligns GTM teams to collaborate and deliver on their revenue goals and maximize Sales Velocity. Cybersecurity, B2B SaaS, Growth stage. Brand. Demand. Executive Leadership.
Friday mood. As we move into the holiday weekend, I think about all my friends and colleagues who are in transitions right now. It's a slog; it goes in fits and starts. Consistency is a challenge. And weekends suck because no one else but you is thinking about you or your situation. We feel no movement on those days. Long weekends exaggerate that feeling. It reminds me of a recent comment by one of my favorite New York Rangers players, Chris Kreider, about one of his young teammates. Kreider describes how in the playoffs you don't necessarily step up your game, but you lean on your habits - your great habits are what help you to focus and succeed at times of greater stress. So for those of us in transition - lean on your habits. They will lift you up and allow you to navigate the ups and downs. Keep on keepin' on. Check out the interview here:

In the evolving landscape of brand influence on Gen Z, the quest for authenticity stands as a guiding principle. The desire for intimate, behind-the-scenes glimpses into the lives of athletes has become a defining feature of this generation's engagement with sports culture. To capture the attention and loyalty of Gen Z, brands must spotlight authentic stories and moments that resonate with their values and aspirations. Collaborating with athletes who embody authenticity and showcasing their personal journeys can forge deep connections with the upcoming generation of sports enthusiasts. Unfortunately, some brands overlook the potential to dive beneath the surface of athletes' experiences, missing valuable opportunities to authentically connect with both the talent and the passionate fanbase. This oversight inadvertently reinforces the perception that brands seek community without a genuine understanding of its culture. At EssenceMediacom UK we understand to genuinely resonate with Gen Z, brands must exhibit a sincere interest in the cultures they aim to engage with, inviting fans to the table as cherished participants rather than mere sources of currency. Credit to founder Dean George GAUCHOWORLD for his recent interview with Arsenal's Reiss Nelson who last year self-funded a football pitch where he grew up in South London. Quote: “I want the kids to know that the pitch they will be playing on was built by someone just like them" #sportsmarketing #sportscontent #football #arsenal #google #googlepixel8 #essencemediacom
Before pursuing the ‘What’, we always step back and ask ourselves ‘Why?’. It’s an important process that is often rushed or missed altogether, but you can’t build a mansion without first checking if the foundations are strong. Starting with a story that has its roots firmly set at home, we explore why capturing Premier League star Reiss Nelson on Aylesbury Estate - the estate he grew up on - resonated with a global audience that have never set foot in South London, or even care to watch the football every weekend.

Came across this photo in my gallery, triggering memories of the event that gave rise to it. I was actively part of the team organizing the inaugural Ife Great Debate in collaboration with GAVEL CLUB OAU, commemorating OAU's 60th anniversary. During one of our debate sessions, as the cameras rolled and live streaming commenced for our online audience, the event anchor was nowhere to be found. We were confronted with potential chaos and we couldn't let this happen. I stepped in, unintentionally becoming the MC. It was challenging, yet I managed to navigate it adeptly, and this moment left me with valuable insights I will like to share. 1. Embrace the Unexpected: Life is full of surprises, and this event reinforced the need to embrace the unexpected. What initially seemed like a setback turned into an opportunity for personal growth and resilience. 2. Leadership Emerges in Unexpected Places: This experience highlighted that leadership can emerge unexpectedly. Sometimes, stepping up in challenging situations reveals leadership qualities within us that we may not have recognized before. 3. Adaptability is Key: The unforeseen absence of the event anchor taught me the importance of being adaptable. In moments of crisis, the ability to think on your feet can make all the difference. Lastly, we often discover our untapped capabilities when pushed to the brink.

My #LinkedIn #tip4day: bring the passion and show your skills in your profile & presence. In honor of Bruce Springsteen's latest set of shows in our shared home state of New Jersey, I am sharing a clip of his performance the other night at MetLife Stadium, performing one of his standouts from the Born to Run album released in 49 years ago this month. The reason: the clip starts at 2:54, just after he's introduced the band, before launching into Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out. But the reason I chose this specific clip is to show you both the passion he still has, even at 73, for doing what he clearly loves doing, and his musicianship as he interacts with the crowd. I love doing what I do: it is my calling. We should all be so lucky to be fulfilling our passions this extraordinarily at his age. Are you bringing the same level of passion and proficiency to your LinkedIn profile? And if not, what in the world is stopping you?! Thank you for coming to my #EDtalk https://lnkd.in/eJz-C_2i ✅ Comment on this and other of my posts before using a reaction emoji: this trains the algorithms that you want to see more of them ✅ Follow me or the #tip4day, #EDtalk, and HiringFriday hashtags, or ✅ Ring that notification 🔔 on my profile And doing all of this guarantees you'll see these daily tips and other musings in your LinkedIn newsfeed.
