GJP are delighted to announce that Swansea Council have given delegated approval to grant reserved matters approval for 26 100% affordable homes in the SA1 Waterfront in Swansea. The planning application was reported to the Council’s Planning Committee where it was subsequently determined to be approved subject to the completion of a S106 Agreement. The proposed development will be delivered by Beacon Cymru Group (formerly Coastal Housing Group) and will comprise a mix of 2-bed and 3-bed units. This development forms part of the wider redevelopment of the SA1 Waterfront in Swansea, and the site itself boasts an excellent location that fronts onto the Prince of Wales dock. This scheme is highly sustainable, consisting of highly energy efficient homes that will utilise renewable and sustainable energy sources, including solar panels and ground source heat pumps. The development will play a significant role in contributing to the delivery of affordable housing in Swansea, helping to address the identified need in the County.
