GRI Club’s thought leadership initiatives continue in this collaboration with Deepki to share an article examining the growing focus of the real estate industry on social aspects of ESG and how they are being integrated into certifications like BREEAM, LEED, and Green Star. 🔹 Originally centred on the environment, these certifications now increasingly prioritise the well-being of occupants, contributing to a diverse ecosystem with an emphasis on both environmental and social sustainability. Despite challenges in data consistency, companies acknowledge the economic benefits of improving environmental and social aspects, with green-certified buildings commanding higher rent premiums and positively influencing real estate transactions and occupancy rates. 🔗 Read the full Deepki article on the GRI Hub here: https://lnkd.in/dBwRJGeD #griclub #realestate #deepki #esg #article

Because pictures and good data are better than a long speech, I invite you to discover BPI Real Estate's ESG highlights for 2023. A very good summary of BPI Real Estate's know-how and spirit. #proud #ChangingForGood
For the second consecutive year, BPI Real Estate, key player in sustainable urban transition and part of our multidisciplinary CFE Group, has published its 2023 ESG Highlights 🌍. It is a clear statement that we are #ChangingForGood the way we live and work for future generations, by shaping tomorrow's cities . BPI Real Estate continues to lead the way in environmental, social, and governance best practices, aiming to foster collective leadership in the real estate sector. This year's report not only showcases BPI's remarkable achievements in sustainable development but also highlights their active engagement in industry working groups such as the ESG and Taxonomy Commission within UPSI-BVS, and the #LowCarbonBuilding Initiative, a pioneering pan-European low carbon label. Jacques Lefèvre, CEO of BPI Real Estate, emphasizes, “We didn't just want to publish our sustainability indicators. To move our sector forward, we need to actively share our best practices. To inspire others, we need concrete examples.” BPI’s approach to eco-responsible cities is built around five main axes: ❤️ well-being ♻️ circularity 🌿 sustainability 🚲 mobility, and 💡 innovation. These pillars are a guide towards creating urban environments that benefit both people and planet. #ChangingForGood #HeroesForGood #UrbanShapers #SustainableBuildings #ESG #SustainableDevelopment

Join me at the Stockholms Handelskammare on April 17th for the third Stockholm Sustainability Summit, part of Sustainable City. Together with Connected Places Catapult we will explore how we can harness data and make it accessible when developing sustainable cities. https://lnkd.in/gE4B93MS "Data is the new gold" claims our sustainability officer Elise Grosse and I tend to agree! In cities around the world, researchers and decision-makers are working to understand how we can collect and make data available to improve urban life. As the ambition for cities' adaptation and development becomes more data-driven, the need for research on how we can process and use the volume of data that cities generate every day is increasing. At the same time, businesses are breaking new ground in how we can use data in creative and innovative ways. Opportunities to better plan, design, and refine our cities for today's citizens and tomorrow's challenges will be crucial-so let's start mining our data! #ConnectedConnected Places Catapult #stockholmshandelskammare #sweco #transformingsocietytogether Paul Wilson Pru Ashby Anna König Jerlmyr Andreas Hatzigeorgiou, PhD Srihaarika Vijjappu Kristofer Ågren Daniella Waldfogel
