Notice anything odd about this photo?    Sandhill cranes are common in this area, but the way these four were behaving seemed off to me. Normally I would pass by them, but today I noticed something odd. Notice it yet?        They all four have their heads down! No one was assigned to keep watch in case of danger.     Like these sandhill cranes, we often keep our heads down. It is so easy to keep your eyes focused on the ground looking at what's right in front of you, focusing on what is most urgent. We do this as individuals, as families, and as organizations. We get so wrapped up in doing what is right in front of us, we forget why we were doing it in the first place.      Right in front of us is a great big world! 1️⃣ Always do the right thing This is our company’s first core value. A lot of people claim to live by this, but often it is just lip service. While this value may seem straightforward and obvious, it’s often easier said than done. Would you still do the right thing in every instance instead of taking the convenient or easy way, even if you knew nobody would ever find out? It means prioritizing honesty over comfort, ethical choices over convenience, and transparency over shortcuts. If you always do the right thing, you never have to worry about those wrong choices catching up to you.
