I had the pleasure and the honor to deliver a keynote speech on behalf of Maria Spyraki MEP in the EPAA European Partnership for Alternative Approaches Annual Conference, for the protection of people and our environment through NAMs. I highlighted, inter-alia: 👉 the need to minimize and progressively replace animal testing through an expanded use of new approach methodologies and intelligent testing strategies 👉 the need for increased efforts and funds and the establishment of reliable and robust non-animal-based safety assessments in all relevant pieces of legislation 👉 the inclusion of the provision of replacement animal testing in the revision of CLP, which is under the negotiations at the trialogue level. #nams #animaltesting #environmentalprotection #europeanparliament #epp #echa
