Business Development @ Cadena HRM | HR tech | HR software | Aspiring Marketer with a passion for Entrepreneurship
“Technology is neither good nor bad; it's the wielder who determines its morality. In the hands of the virtuous, it can illuminate the world. In the hands of the unscrupulous, it can cast darkness.” When I first chose to take the mod #ET5135 Business Venture Implementation under NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur), I thought I would dread the 9am-5pm Saturday classes. But Kat Neo and Jackie passionately shared their experience in the deep tech industry. This module taught me key steps to securing business fundings and devising a MOAT to ensure constant growth in the business venture. Key takeaways from this module: 1️⃣ the importance of conducting a thesis deep-dive Thorough research and analysis are vital for laying the foundation of a successful venture. By dissecting your thesis, you gain insights into market positioning, target audience, competition, and unique value proposition. Though time-consuming, these deep dives pave the way for sustainable growth and long-term success 📈📈 2️⃣ how one’s brand archetype plays into other aspects of brand marketing As an enthusiast in brand marketing, delving into the 12 brand archetypes and their impact on communication channels and tone has been truly enlightening. For instance, for a wellness company like WWF, adopting the “Caregiver” archetype was most apt. This approach entails empathetically understanding consumers' needs and offering meaningful support. The tone in their copywriting often exudes warmth, evoking a sense of comfort and connection with readers. Applying these principles in my upcoming internship opportunity is sure to enhance my marketing skills ☀️🌷 3️⃣ deep tech Deep tech encompasses a wide range of cutting-edge technologies with profound implications for various industries and societal domains. Embracing the breadth and depth of deep tech requires a holistic approach that balances innovation with responsibility, fostering collaboration, dialogue, and collective action to maximise its positive impact while minimising risks. By harnessing the full potential of deep tech in a thoughtful and inclusive manner, we can unlock new frontiers of knowledge, drive sustainable progress, and shape a brighter future for generations to come. I’ll definitely be applying these not only in my future business pitches, but also when I plan to start my own company when I make my debut as an entrepreneur! 💫 #NTUsg #NTUpreneur #entrepreneurship #ET5135 #venture #startup #entrepreneur #marketing

Alumni of @YTILI - network of 🇪🇺 & 🇺🇸 entrepreneurs | Founder @Revaio BV with brands in sustainability
Ready to kick some ass in the States. One year after my application for YTILI | Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative, I'm almost ready to leave for 5 weeks. My action plan? Well: 🔥 I went to the Belgian consulate (thank you Kathy Guerra & Slavisa Tasic for the inspiring conversation) to talk about my approaching journey. 🔥 I met my host company (Jeremy Losaw @ Enventys Partners) to talk about my internship. More about that real soon. 🔥 I made a to-do-list of what I certainly want to do. I mostly want to network and connect with other entrepreneurs. My ultimate goal? To share my vision for serial entrepreneurship, meet ecological minds and set up collabs with companies which embrace my vision. Ready to follow my adventure? In 2018, I rejected a job offer from BCG & chose to join a startup instead. Many termed it as a stupid decision back then. But why did I take that decision? Here's the story: Just 3 months into my first job, I resigned (a story for another time) and found myself at a crossroads. After a month of searching, I was presented with two opportunities: 1) A position at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) 2) An unexpected offer from a co-founder of a renowned tech startup, who had recently ventured out to assist various startups in their growth marketing endeavors globally. The decision wasn't straightforward for me. I opted for the latter. Many thought it was a bit out there, and honestly, there were times I questioned it too. 👉 But here's the thing: I had this gut feeling about what I needed to learn at that point in my life. I was super curious about how startups are born, how they grow & what really makes them tick. That's something I felt I wouldn't get to see up close at a big firm like BCG. Joining BCG would have offered security, prestige & immediate validation. But choosing the startup path was like hopping on a rollercoaster of learning. I got to work with some amazing early to mid-stage startups across different countries. It was tough, no doubt, but I learned a ton - stuff I probably would've taken years to pick up otherwise. This journey, with all its ups and downs, played a huge part in shaping Codeyoung. It wasn't just about learning how to run a business; it was about discovering what kind of leader I wanted to be. Alongside a team of passionate individuals, we've been able to grow Codeyoung into what it is today. Looking back I can say, While joining BCG might have been the right choice for many, But I am certain I made a better choice :) -------- 📍 My takeaway: Stay true to yourself, irrespective of how it compares with conventional wisdom. Don’t make a decision on the basis of the parameters society established for you. There are no set rules. Choose what works for you. It’s okay to look stupid in the short term rather than being miserable for a lifetime. #entrepreneurship #learning

Your story is truly inspiring and a testament to the power of following your gut instinct and being true to yourself. The decision to join a startup over a prestigious consulting firm like BCG must have been daunting, but your curiosity, desire to learn, and willingness to take calculated risks paid off immensely. The startup world offered you a rollercoaster ride of hands-on experience and learning opportunities that shaped you into the leader you are today. By immersing yourself in the dynamic startup ecosystem, you gained invaluable insights into what it takes to build and scale a business from the ground up – lessons that would have taken years to acquire through more conventional paths. Your journey with its ups and downs has not only allowed you to grow Codeyoung into a successful venture but has also helped you discover your leadership style and values. The courage to chart your own path, despite societal pressures and norms, is commendable and has undoubtedly been a driving force behind your achievements. Your story serves as a powerful reminder that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to success. Conventional wisdom and societal expectations should never outweigh your inner voice and personal aspirations. It's perfectly acceptable to appear unconventional or "stupid" in the short term if it aligns with your long-term goals and fulfillment. In the end, your ability to stay true to yourself and make decisions based on your own priorities and values has been the key to your personal and professional growth. Your journey is a testament to the rewards that can come from taking the road less traveled, and it's an inspiration for others to have the courage to follow their own paths.

Campus Lead at EdVenture Park |Founders Friday lead | Breaking Boundaries in Computer Science: Empowering Innovation and Driving Technological Advancements
"if you sit with a non-productive person your productivity will also get affected," a statement said by Meraj Faheem this made me realize that finding an environment or community that can help me what I want to be and what I can be able to achieve I have been extremely eager to deep dive into the world of entrepreneurship and startups. I am a person who is filled with curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and explore new things. From watching Shark Tank India to learning new definitions of words like EBITA, equity, and valuation these words were new to me as an "Engineering student". if you really want to do something, you will find a way to achieve anything and by this, I started to find a way to fulfill my curiosity and my eagerness to learn new things that's where I found EdVenture Park, researched it, and got to know that this student-focused incubation center, a place where students have their startups and they are doing great things in their lyf. I followed them on Instagram, learned more things about them, and got to know about one of their events known as the Founders' Friday which was a no agenda networking event ....... never thought in my dreams, that a no-agenda networking event, run by the students, would create an impact like this!!!!! amazed, by the energies of the founders who are students like me, so many ideas, people, and businesses. this made me realize if not now then when? Joined EdVenture Park as a campus lead last month and within a month I experienced a lot of things and got to work with the Founders' Friday team. what I learned is that with the right people and the right mindset, it's possible to make things happen I believe that being a part of this community will not only help me understand the essence of entrepreneurship but will also give me the chance to build a strong brand of myself. I am genuinely willing to achieve something big in my life, and this opportunity feels like a step in the right direction. I can't express how eager and excited I am to set sail on this journey and learn as much as I can. #foundersfriday #edventurepark
