Till last year, there were doubts whether TVS would be able to play the EV game. At that time, even though the company had been selling the iQube for six months, it was not among the top five and Ola Electric looked like formidable competition, with sales touching 10,000 units a month. But it has managed to sustain that momentum. iQube sales have been growing steadily and hit a peak of over 20,000 units in May. Can TVS Motor become the EV leader? Surendar T explores it in this longread. Tap on the link in the comments to read more. #tvs #twowheeler #ampere #okinawa #olaelectric #electricvehicles

I provide companies with access to leaders and innovators in the Automotive, Digital & Industrial Innovation, and Energy communities. Hiring top talent is all about access.
East meets West in this deal between MOBIS and VW. Well done Axel Joachim Maschka and the MOBIS/VW team! So often it's been the other way around, with great German suppliers (also in the battery pack segment) providing technology to Hyundai.

We’ve signed an MOU with Ulsan Metropolitan City, Korea, for an exciting new factory dedicated to electric vehicle modules, set to be complete in the 2nd half of 2025. At this factory, essential modules for chassis and cockpit will be mass-produced for Genesis EVs. This includes components such as suspension, steering, and braking for chassis modules, while cockpit modules include components such as infotainment systems and airbags all dedicated to EV platforms. This new factory in Ulsan represents part of a series of strategic efforts to respond to the booming global EV market. As such, we’re producing battery systems in China and Czech Republic, building a BSA factory in Indonesia, and have opened a production base in Alabama, U.S., to provide EV modules to Mercedes-Benz. As the global move toward electrification amplifies, we’re committed to finding more stable and efficient ways to supply EV modules to our partnering automakers. #Ulsan #Electrification #FutureTech #TheOneforAllMobility #HyundaiMOBIS #MOBIS

✴️ Just bumped into this virtual rendering of a R5 Cabriolet …… 😎 🆒 Now wouldn‘t be that nice ? Driving open air without annoying noise and gas. Cars should be fun and engaging to drive again. Conversion to a cabriolet should be easier in this case with the added stiffness of the battery in the lower part of the chassis. Mini built a limited series of their Cooper SE Convertible, but it was too expensive to achieve a market succes. Less than 40 K€ should be possible …..🤔 So I say build it Renault, and install LFP instead of NMC battery cells ⚠️ What do you say ?
