🏳️🌈 You can’t spell PRIDE without RIDE! 🏳️🌈 Lime has partnered with Pride in London for a second year running for in the UK capital, the majority volunteer-led organisation responsible for London's flagship LGBTQ+ Pride parade since 2013. Lime has donated to support the organisation's Unity Fund that strengthens LGBTQ+ communities by providing support to grassroots organisations. We'll also be donating free rides to all Pride in London employees and volunteers throughout the months for June and July to help everyone get to where they need to be, right on time ahead of parade day… Not only that, but we are building on last year's partnership even further with the launch of our Pride At Home delivery service in partnership with Pride in London. London Lime volunteers will be hopping on two wheels to hand deliver goody bags to those unable to attend the parade in person due to access needs, social anxiety, or other circumstances. Launched with the help of UK Drag Race icon Victoria Scone, and paired with a livestream of the parade, the service aims to help create an at-home celebration as close to the real deal as possible for those that can't join the experience in person. If you have a loved one, or know someone who can’t make it to parade day, you can nominate them to receive a Pride goody bag by following this link: https://bit.ly/4euy69U

Happy Pride Month! Did you know we celebrate Pride month in June as June 28th marks the date in history when the first pride march was held in New York City in 1970. As a local business which supports equality in our local business community, we thought of some easy ways in which you can celebrate #pridemonth at your workplace: 1. Create a collaborative Pride playlist. Celebrate Pride by encouraging employees to create a collaborative playlist. This Pride playlist should feature music from LGBTQ+ artists, songs about self-love, self-acceptance, and celebrating diversity. Coming together through music can be a fun way to celebrate pop culture, honor artistic expression, and find a new favorite song. 2. Raise funds for a charitable cause. Even today, members of the LGBT+ community face discrimination. Raising funds for local LGBT+ charities is a fantastic way to help combat this and work to a society which is founded upon equality. 3. Coordinate a Pride Month book club Reading a book written by a queer author, featuring LGBTQ+ characters, or topics, can be a fun way to expand perspectives. Not only is this an educational opportunity, it’s also a bonding opportunity as it gives coworkers a chance to interact with each other outside of their established roles. #cloudtelephony #telecommunications #telecoms #PridePlaylist #CelebrateDiversity #LGBTQ+Artists #SelfLove #SelfAcceptance #CharitableCause #Equality #LGBT+Charities #PrideMonthBookClub #ReadForEquality #EducationandEmpowerment #PrideCelebration #InclusivityatWork #WorkplaceEquality #LoveisLove #PrideParade #RainbowFlags #SupportLGBTQ+Community #AcceptanceandTolerance #LGBTQ+HistoryMonth #ProudAllYearRound #Equalityforall

Has Pride Month boiled down to just another Marketing opportunity? Let’s address the elephant in the room As we reach Pride Month every year I see Rainbow Logos and pride flags by every brand And I'm sure it's gonna be the same this June. But what’s happening in reality is pure BS → Rainbow Washing: Slapping a rainbow on your logo for June But doing zilch for LGBTQ+ rights for 11 months. → Tokenism: Featuring LGBTQ+ people only during Pride Month, And then vanishing them from campaigns. → Merchandise Mania: Selling Pride-themed products Without donating a dime to LGBTQ+ causes. But at least they’re talking about it na? It’s a start! Um… no it’s not :) Brands talk about LGBTQ+ rights But have discriminatory policies and leaders. This leads to bad branding Because of lack of trust and authenticity. So before going all rainbow crazy in June Try these 3 things out: 3/ 365 days of Support ↳Commit to Queer rights & representation all year. ↳Actions speak louder than your rainbow logos. 2/ Genuine Allyship ↳Support queer employees & communities ↳with real policies & donations, not colorful products. 1/ Be Transparent ↳Be clear about where your Pride Merch profits go ↳Donate to relevant charities and make it public. Brands, it's time to walk the walk. Pride isn’t just a month; it's a movement. 🌈💪 P.S.: Have you ever been to a pride parade?

Absolutely loved reading this on the real issues with Pride🌈Month marketing. It's refreshing to see someone call out the superficial rainbow washing that happens every June. Here are a few highlights that really resonated with me: Rainbow Washing: Just slapping a rainbow on your logo for June doesn’t cut it. True support means backing LGBTQ+ rights all year round, not just for one month. Tokenism: Featuring LGBTQ+ individuals only during Pride Month and then forgetting about them for the rest of the year is not genuine representation. We need consistent inclusion. Merchandise Mania: Selling Pride-themed products without contributing to LGBTQ+ causes is missing the point. It’s about support, not sales. So what can brands do instead? 365 Days of Support: Commit to queer rights and representation throughout the year. Actions speak louder than logos. Genuine Allyship: Support queer employees and communities with real policies and donations, not just colorful products. Transparency: Be clear about where your Pride merch profits go. Make sure donations to relevant charities are public. It's time for brands to walk the walk. Pride isn’t just a month; it's a movement. 🌈💪 P.S. Have you ever been to a pride parade? It's an incredible experience and a true celebration of diversity and inclusion! #pride #pridemonth #marketing #digitalmarketing #brands #merchandise #LGBTQ

Exciting news! Version 2 of Zoteria is here ⭐ Zoteria now features a dynamic news feed from leading LGBTQ+ publications, including Gay Times and DIVA, Zoteria is not just an app—it's a powerful tool for empowerment and unity 🌈 Developed by the Vodafone Foundation in collaboration with charities Galop and Stonewall, Zoteria aims to empower the LGBTQ+ community and its allies by providing an easy way to flag hate incidents, whether you're a victim or a concerned bystander. The app goes beyond incident reporting, offering access to specialist LGBTQ+ support, information, and even local LGBTQ+ events to foster community connections. Remember, using Zoteria to flag incidents is not a substitute for emergency services. Instead, the data collected will be anonymised, contributing to a more accurate understanding of LGBTQ+ hate incidents across the UK. This valuable information will empower our partners to advocate for the community and drive meaningful social and policy change. Don't miss out on the positive impact you can make! Helping women and LGBTQ+ founders and organisations look good while being inclusive and accessible | Founder @ Studio Lutalica | Fractional Creative Director | British Creative Businesswoman of the Year 2023-24
🌈 I am queer. And I don’t like Pride Month 😮💨 I’ll be honest — I have complicated feelings about Pride right now. We have an entire month to celebrate our existence thanks to Black and Brown, Queer and Trans people who riot made it possible for us to get our rights — rights that are still being challenged today everywhere in the world. Pride started as a riot, it should be about resistance and community. But instead, I/we need to work so much harder than any other month because this is the only month our voices get tolerated — and on top of that, corporations use them to make a (huge) profit. 💔 It is draining. This is why at Lutalica, I’m not pushing our comms team to make as much noise as we could during Pride Month. We work for the LGBTQ+ community all year round, and I don’t want my colleagues to feel overwhelmed because this is the only time of the year when straight people acknowledge us. 💪 We want to keep working for the community, providing free support to non-profits who struggle to raise funds for an inclusive brand or an accessible website. These things are not only important, they are crucial, and I will keep shouting this to whoever will listen. I wish we could have started our crowdfunding earlier than Pride Month. We could have done it later, but July and August are holiday months, in September people have no money post-holiday, and then it’s basically Christmas. So here we are — and honestly, it’s not going as well as we hoped because we’re being drowned out by voices that only speak up in the month of June. But we still need your support. 👉 Please watch the video in this post where I explain why this is important. Check out the testimonials we’ve been posting — they are proof that our work is necessary. And then, please reshare and donate to our crowdfunding campaign here 👉 https://lnkd.in/ekREhQ3U ✨ Help us design a brighter future for women and queer communities. #QueerAndProud #LGBTQSupport #PurposeOverProfit #Crowdfunding #InclusiveDesign #CommunitySupport #DesignForChange #HappyPride #PrideMonth I'm curious about what other trans and queer entrepreneurs/professionals think. 📣 This is a BIG one folks - we need your help! Today we’re launching a major fundraising campaign to support pro-bono design services for feminist and LGBTQ+ organisations! 🌈✨ In today’s climate, it’s crucial for these organisations to have a strong brand and accessible online presence. Our goal is to provide these essential tools to those who need them most but can’t afford them. Your support can make a real difference. By donating, you’re helping us amplify the voices of those fighting for equality and justice. Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable world. Is this a little late to post for Trans Day of Visibility back in March? Maybe. But it’s not too late for Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 In honor of celebrating the LGBTQ+ community this month, I wanted to share this powerful piece of work I got a chance to be apart of for MAC Cosmetics! MAC has been a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, donating millions of dollars to support equality, providing gender-affirming care through beauty services and products, and being a safe space for queer individuals to explore and express themselves. To help MAC announce their newest VIVA GLAM grantee and partner, The Trevor Project, we created this beautiful video that highlighted the role makeup plays in self-discovery and identity expression. 💋Career Learning: I served as the Director of Scripts on and off set, where I helped craft the conversation to feel informative, authentic, and inspirational. It was important that the narrative not only checked the legal and marketing boxes, but that it ultimately centered trans joy rather than struggle. I learned that to tell an authentic story, you have to leave room for the talent or subject to actually tell theirs and not over-produce it. 💋LGBTQ+ Ally Learning: As an ally, I try to constantly listen and learn to best support the community. To be honest, it got difficult on set at times. Emotions were high as we covered difficult self-discovery moments and discussed overcoming very hard and very real obstacles. I learned that even when there’s a job to do, humanity comes first. Give space for your talent to feel and process as they’re telling their story. A few extra breaks and words of encouragement can go a long way. Super grateful for this experience and proud to have been apart of a team that values good storytelling, good production, and good causes ❤️💄 (Shoutout to the MAC Mustache crew who I won’t tag for the sake of post length 🥲) Check out the video here: https://lnkd.in/eP67G3Jp #beauty #maccosmetics #trevorproject #transvisibility #pridemonth #copywriter

Happy Pride Month! Every year, June is our opportunity to celebrate, honor, commemorate, and stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. We take a moment to reflect on the past. We pay tribute. We spend time in community with each other. We dance! We remember that each one of us, regardless of our sexual orientation or identity, is worthy of #belonging. So where do we start the celebration? There are so many impactful (and fun) ways to celebrate #Pride. Here are my top three ways to get involved this month: 1. Get Out There: Be a part of your community. Support your local Pride events. Attend fundraisers, parades, marches, and festivals. Donate your time or money. Write your local legislators. Get involved. And read books! 2. Gain Local Knowledge: Do you know the history of Pride Month where you live? What are some of the struggles and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community in your town or city? What are the some of the issues currently being faced right in your backyard? We need to all be better educated because knowledge is key to change. 3. Be an Ally: Stand in solidarity, whether you're a part of the LGBTQ+ community or an #ally. Use your voice and privilege to always speak up. While going to events and celebrations is always a great time, keep in mind that this month is about the fight for #equality, justice, and the right to be who you are. Let's embrace this spirit of diversity and inclusion during Pride Month and beyond. Because when we do, we create spaces where we can all be free to live authentically and thrive. Because love is love, is love, is love. Happy Pride! 🌈
