Got a huge dose of inspiration and perspective from this event that was hosted last week in Gothenburg by Volvo. #techer2023 #bebold . Speakers were from across many different industries and participants joined globally from around the world with varying backgrounds. One of the key discussion points was around the word 'boldness', answers varied significantly such as 'super powers, owning who you are, being true to yourself, speaking up, challenging the status quo and asking the right questions, say yes first and so forth'. Chat GPT definition of boldness is - the quality of being fearless :)))hmm ?? Inspiration was absolutely one of the key values that many of the participants got from the event, including me. I was never into the STEM subjects at school, I fancied myself more as an artsy and creative marketing practitioner, but over the last 10 years, in particular, I have understood the value and incredible importance how women need to take space in these sectors if we are to have an equal and prosperous future. And just to highlight again, when are we going to start to put more funding into women's led companies so they can flourish, succeed, and have the same opportunities as their male counterparts? Today the percentage is only 2.3%. Let's change the narrative here! Take the time to look at this event irrespective of your gender background and professional background, truly inspiring and strong messages to embrace and leverage to another level. I hope we can get some discussions going at The House and WOMEN IN TECH®- Global Movement What about companies that are in the Tech or Stem industries, what are your views about this? You asked a million dollar question Lisa “When are we going to start to put more funding into women led companies?”. Our societies need to understand that the status quo i.e using half of our human resources is shortsighted and wasteful.

You’re right Lisa Remnelid about women to get more into STEM subjects but meanwhile let us put some consistency and strategy to market all the bright ideas from WOMEN IN TECH®- Global Movement and similar.
