At peak times, 40,000 people visit Camden High Street - this is roughly the same as the average matchday attendance for a Premier League football match! We want to make sure all these people can comfortably and safely visit this iconic street. What's more, we want to make sure their visit is memorable. That's why we're proposing to create a motor traffic-free zone as a trial to give more space to locals and visitors. Not only would this make it safer to walk, wheel and cycle around Camden Town, but it would allow us to host cultural activities that celebrate Camden's unique culture and history. You can play a role in shaping what this people-first Camden High Street could look like by sharing your views on our proposals and providing ideas of how we can improve the new public space. 🖱 Visit our consultation website for more information and to complete our survey: https://lnkd.in/ds4XNZ2u

Back in the day Camden market was a jewel in the crown of North London. It’s now Oxford Street on steroids with added grime. It needs less crowds, not more.

Desperately needed. Just do it. Camden is awful to get around, especially in the summer.
