These items not only provide tangible support but also show them that they are valued and cared for. 💕 💪🏽By providing luggage, we can help alleviate some of the stress and uncertainty that foster care youth and young adults may experience during transitions. yet2 had a great time volunteering at More Than Words. We sorted through more than 1,400 books, working alongside the young adult coordinators who work at More Than Words “to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business.” More Than Words works with some of the most vulnerable young adults in Greater Boston: those who are in the foster care system, court involved, homeless, or out of school. At More Than Words the young adults have a paying job that teaches them job skills, interpersonal skills, etc. while receiving focused support to ensure they persist in school and create plans for their future. #givingback #volunteering

According to national charity The Fostering Network, 7,200 foster carer families are needed across the UK in the next year (2024) to make sure all the children who need fostering get appropriate care. This is why we tirelessly promote fostering to people who live in or near Hull to consider fostering with us. Our children and young people have told us they do not want to leave the area they know. It is important our children feel safe, secure and in control. So allowing our children and young people the chance to remain in or near the city they know, means they can keep in vital contact with their friends, siblings, parents and remain at the same school. Hull Fostering is the largest fostering service in the local area and we are responsible for all looked after children in Hull. Fostering is often described as 'one of the most rewarding things you'll ever do' - giving children and young people, who haven't been given the best start in life, the opportunity to thrive. Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation would like to thank our good friend, Jonel for hosting a fundraiser in support of our Keys to Success program! For three years, she has combined her passion for fashion with her dedication to help young men and women aging out of foster care achieve self-sufficiency. Each June, Jonel holds a 30 Days of Dresses Instagram campaign in which she models a new dress and shoes each day and then asks her followers to vote for their favorite by donating to AFFCF. Since she began, Jonel has raised more than $1,200! There are many ways in which you can help change the story of foster care for children and youth in Arizona! Here are just a few examples: 1. Hold a fundraiser of your own like Jonel or create a Facebook Fundraiser! 2. Volunteer your time and/or talents. 3.
