Workforce initiatives are a top priority among Community Health Centers. It is key to providing high-quality patient care. During the CHCAMS HR Workgroup Q3 meeting on March 27, 2024, participants learned about developing a HP-ET plan that fits into the Comprehensive Workplan for Community Health Centers. Workplace communication in a medical clinic or office setting emerged as a priority topic. #TeamCHCAMS #ValueCHCs

Today the Royal Society for Public Health is publishing its new report on the Wider Public Health Workforce! (see https://lnkd.in/e-DMAAzC) They found a huge range of professions that are positively impacting the health of the public including town planners (Royal Town Planning Institute Lindsey Richards Victoria Hills MRTPI FICE FRSA MCMI CMgr and Joshua Singh MRTPI for noting) 🙌. With the right support they can do even more to help reduce pressure on the NHS, build a healthier nation and support our economy. The new report outlines four key recommendations that would help unlock the potential of the UK’s Wider Public Heath Workforce including: 1️⃣ Resourcing, upskilling and empowering the Wider Public Health Workforce 2️⃣ Recognising the contribution of the Wider Public Health Workforce to public health and prevention 3️⃣ Clearer routes into public health for the Wider Public Health Workforce The report is part of an increasingly active area of research and practice in recognising built environment roles that directly work in healthy places: 1️⃣ in February, academics as part of a NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) PHIRST evaluation published findings into the benefits of planning healthy places officers post (see https://lnkd.in/ecsrXYnd) 2️⃣ throughout Feb/ March a planning healthy places workforce survey was administered. Watch this space for results later in the Spring/ Summer. 3️⃣ in March we will have a planning healthy places practitioners workshop hosted by Prior + Partners for OHID and the Health and Wellbeing in Planning Network. 4️⃣ later in July the Network will run a wider forum for practitioners hosted by Geovation. Watch this space for registration for limited places.
