The EURBAN Limited team had a wonderful time at the annual International Forum Holzbau (IFH) Conference in Innsbruck. Alcocer Martínez de Castro (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) 📙 Abstract: This session examines the very pressing topic of retrofitting large inventories of vulnerable building structures. Three different perspectives are provided: 1️⃣ The perspective of Wellington City Council when implementing regulations amidst constraints affecting building owners, 2️⃣ The perspective of engineers in Mexico City who have seen up close both challenges and benefits associated with building strengthening, and 3️⃣ A financial perspective recognising that technical alternatives are of little use if their implementation cannot be afforded. An open discussion shall follow the presentation of these perspectives.
