So our present Canadian (mis)government spends closer to 2.$ billion (overall costs factored-in) to reduce our Global C02. So we’ll cut 0.2% and end up to maybe 0.5% which WILL NOT SAVE THE PLANET unless, Significant reductions from China, Russia, USA and India that combined account for about 45% of the Global C02 emissions THAT Should be THE START. Let them implement a Carbon Tax. Our Canadian Carbon Tax = Money Grab Scam. PERIOD. #ditchthetaxscam Canada’s total GHG emissions amount to 1.6 percent of global emissions. Canada’s N20 emissions are approximately 4.5 percent of its total, hence, (.016*.045=0.0007) or about seven one-hundredths of one percent of global greenhouse gas emissions.

Consultation on GHG measurement and reporting in the food sector: WRAP has issued a consultation on a revised version of its Greenhouse gas measurement and reporting protocol for the food and drink sector with a focus on purchased products. The ambition of the Protocols is to provide a definitive source for food and drink companies to guide their action on lowering scope 3 emissions, in line with the Courtauld 2030 target of halving absolute GHG emissions by 50% against a 2015 baseline. Responses are required by 7th February #sustainability

The Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act is Unconstitutional, the Chiefs of Ontario Claim   In an application for judicial review filed in the Federal Court of Canada, the Chiefs of Ontario and the Attawapiskat First Nation claim that the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act (the “Act”) is unconstitutional as it is applied to them because it imposes a carbon charge on oil, gasoline, diesel and natural gas that if grossly unjust to First Nations because their members cannot modify their behaviour and use “good fuels.”   The plaintiffs ask the Court to declare that the conduct of the federal government in 2022 and 2023 which amount to a refusal to make any meaningful change to the Act is unreasonable and inconsistent with the Constitution Act, 1982 and the Canadian Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. QFF recently provided a submission to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water regarding the Independent Review of #AustralianCarbonCreditUnits (ACCU). The ACCU scheme, since its inception, has continued to evolve, reflecting the reality that ongoing improvements are essential to achieve its intended impact of reduced national #emissions. This national market operates in alignment with the objectives of the #ParisAgreement and other international accords, aiming to regulate and reduce #CO2emissions. Despite being in-place for over 10 years, the scheme still struggles to garner widespread participation to aid in effectively contributing to Australia's #climategoals. Overall QFF advocates for further support for #farmers in the #ACCUscheme. The Federal Government needs to acknowledge the complexity of #landholder outreach as well as its lack of improvement over the years. Without revision and improvement to these strategies, farmers are left vulnerable and without reliable sources of information. So Ireland is AT BEST going to be 40% behind our legally binding target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 51% in 2030. (We may hit 29%) And yet... Our Taoiseach is reassuring farmers that there is no need to reduce the national herd. A Fianna Fáil MEP is telling farmers to "resist calls to cull their cows". (Nobody, not even in his governing party is saying that scaremongering codology). Power stations burning fracked LPG are asking for permanent connections to Data centres. The ban on single use plastics has been kicked so far down the road that it is out of sight and mind. I am not a member of the Green party, but it genuinely seems to me that every single political party and independent politician except the Greens, is pretending that everything is grand, to help win elections. We had a waterspout in Cork last week, Mogeely flooded again. Rush is slipping into the sea and farmers are only just getting crops into the ground now after 10 months of rain. Oh and aeroplanes are hitting turbulence that is unprecedented. We need leadership, we need honesty and we ALL need to change more, not just ask farmers to do more. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗢𝟮 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝟳 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator, eliminating 294,000,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent delivers the same benefit as eliminating the CO2 emissions from the generation of electricity for 57,204,922 homes in one year. We can deliver that benefit with our Methane Tamer™ feed additive, scientifically proven to reduce enteric methane emissions from cattle by up to 90%. All it takes is for 10% of the world's cattle (150 million) to be fed Methane Tamer. Even assuming a conservative emissions reduction of 70%, the decrease would be nearly the same as eliminating the CO2 emissions from generating electricity for over 57 million homes in a year.
