For a growing business, deep reflection and acceptance can be the greatest of guides. And beyond the many tangible achievements that have marked Beta Launch's progress this year, there have been many subtle learnings we've had that have had more to do with 'mind'. With just a couple of days left in 2023, I thought I'd share a brief note on some of the tangible achievements plus the subtle insights we've had as a tech company this year. Tangible Achievements: 🧑🤝🧑 The team's grown by a quarter in size 🛠️ Have specialists for most roles 💰 Doubled our ARR 🌍 Signed on new clients in Western Europe 🇴🇲 Expanded into Oman and stepped into MENA 🏆 Bagged tech/ICT awards for products we built 🤝 Strengthened client relationships, some spanning 4 years and counting 💵 Assisted startup clients in raising over $1,000,000 in funding But as we grew, beyond the tangible metrics, we realised many simple business truths together with our clients (both B2B and B2C). Most of it has involved the human psyche, i.e. understanding our mental habits and those of the individuals/groups we wish to do business with. 🧠 Understanding how customers think and what they value 🚫 Being able to say 'no' and let go, to focus only on opportunities that align 🧩 Not pushing 'one-size-fits-all' products/services to try and attract all customer segments ⚖️ Finding a balance between achieving business goals and catering to customer needs 🎯 Prioritizing features/products that resonate with both business objectives and customer needs It's that simple, and that difficult... where the mind is concerned in business. #MindInBusiness #BusinessReflections #2023Review #BetaLaunch #SimpleBusinessTruths
