This podcast is a year old, but worth listening to, as the issues remain relevant as specialist, former  naval experts and officers; and now maritime lawyers discuss the lack of cases and challenges to persecutions of case. The topic is interesting in International Relations as states grapple with cases and jurisdiction.

Today at the Aula Grau, we concluded the workshop "The implementation of a General Directive that regulates the career of the Operational Legal Advisor in the service of the Army, Navy and Air Force of Peru held on the 12th, 13th and March 14 by the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) and the Center for International Humanitarian Law of the Ministry of Defense. Topics such as, Operational Law, LOAC, Human Rights and the due role of the Legal Advisors were discussed in order to improve advisory capabilities, as well as policy and process development.

This pattern of condemnation raises critical questions about the legitimacy of state narratives and the ethics of military responses to resistance movements. The framing of resistance as terrorism often serves to delegitimize the struggles for self-determination and human rights. It also highlights the hypocrisy in international responses, where the actions of powerful states are often excused or justified, while those of marginalized groups are condemned.
