Knights Bay continues exploration of Concession Block 21, following an estimated 135km line of outcrop within the 1444km2 mining concession. The following short video gives you an overview of some of the outcrops identified across the substantial nickel laterite target within the concession. Sampling since 2020-2023 has indicated average 1% Nickel grades over substantial areas and thicknesses over 25 metres. Geophysical testing has begun, with results to follow, in order to select the most appropriate methods to suit this very large unique deposit. The recently announced Exploration Target for Torque Metals' New Dawn #Lithium Project is estimated at 8 – 14 million tonnes grading at 1.0 - 1.2% Li2O and highlights the potential for continued lithium mineralisation along the New Dawn trend. The ETE encompasses just 40% of two development-ready Mining Licences (M15/217 and M15/468) underlying expansion potential through more #drilling. 5,000m of RC drilling completed and 1,000m of diamond drilling ongoing aiming to extend vertically stacked #pegmatites currently open in all directions. Resource Mining Corporation Limited (ASX:RMI) director Trevor Matthews joins Proactive to discuss high-grade #copper #gold results from ongoing exploration at the #MpandaProject in Tanzania. Significant findings include rock chip samples with up to 6.97% copper and 17.97 g/t gold, and 6.93% copper with 6.54 g/t gold, collected from the Kabungu copper anomaly. Additionally, channel sampling at the Stalike anomaly showed promising results, including 1 metre at 2.3% copper, part of a 5-metre section averaging 1.13% copper. Two auger drill holes at Ndogo anomaly also indicated mineralised copper values, with samples including 1 metre at 0.20% and 0.21% copper. This supports the potential significant resource, as the copper anomaly extends over 5 kilometres along strike. Matthews highlights the positive impact of these results on defining further exploration and exploitation opportunities within the extensive tenement... Brazil advancing in the rare earths supply chain Great move, specially for the West. The 50:50 JV will establish a rare earth separation refinery and a magnet recycling facility in Brazil. Separation technology has already been demonstrated by Ionic Rare Earths Limited in its recycling plant in the UK. Viridis Mining and Minerals Limited will supply mixed rare earth carbonate processed from the Colossus Project on standard market terms.   The JV also aims to capitalise on growing demand for rare earth elements, which are crucial for various high-tech applications including electric vehicles and renewable energy systems.   ❗ Secure REO [rare earth oxides] supply is critical for a broad range of modern technologies that we depend upon every day, including the huge demand from the energy transition evolution under way, specifically electric motors, wind turbines, HVAC, robotics for advanced manufacturing and defence.   ❇ It presents an incredible opportunity for Viridis within the rare earth supply chain, not only because the company aims to be one of the few in the world capable of producing light and heavy rare earth oxides outside of China, but also by positioning Brazil as a fully integrated miner, producer, and end-user of rare earth permanent magnet materials   ❗ ❗ The initiative positions Brazil at the forefront of a circular process to attract the REE supply chain. Finally was published the amendments to the mining legislation, which in general terms and came into effect immediately, as of January 1, 2024. The new legislation incorporates relevant changes, among which the following are worth highlighting: - The amount of mining patents increases significantly, even though in the case of exploitation concessions the rate of 1/10 UTM per hectare is maintained during 2024. - Increases the duration of exploration concessions to 4 years, and can be renewed for another 4 years, only once, without having to abandon part of the area. - The procedure to be able to denounce a new work is modified, requiring that the mining concessionaire have an easement or other real right and granting the judge the power, but not the obligation, to suspend the works provisionally during the processing of the trial. - The geological information obtained from advanced exploration works will be confidential for a four-years period from its delivery.  - The fine for failure to timely deliver geological information is significantly increased and can reach up to US$175K. - The coordinate transformation procedure from PSAD56 to SIRGAS is modified again, which will be defined in greater detail in a separate regulation. #mining #minería #Chile #legislación #legislation

The Company's Llahuin #Copper-#Gold Porphyry Project in #Chile already hosts a large open pit style deposit of 470,000t copper, 717,000oz gold plus by-products of #molybdenum and possible #silver.
