Protein is absolutely central to the food system transformation and we hear a lot around 'less but better meat'. But what does this actually mean!!!
Defining ‘better meat’ is much more nuanced than often portrayed.
An intensively-reared chicken, for example, will generally produce fewer emissions than a free-range, slower growing one, but what about the welfare and pollution issues that hang over the former? And how does all of this impact nutrient density? And how do we make 'better meat' affordable and accessible to all?
It's a topic we will be lasering in on with our community in Q3 so please do get in touch if you'd like to be part of shaping and influencing this conversation.
As a starter for ten and this month's big question, we went out to our community and FFM ecosystem and asked them -
📣 What does “Better Meat” mean to you?
Part of what makes the FFM Community so unique is the richness and diversity of opinion and perspectives that are so integral to the future of food.
