An Enlightening Experience with Non-Compete Agreements Before engaging with the Virtually Testing Foundation, I was blissfully unaware of the intricacies surrounding Non-Compete Agreements (NCAs). Ignorance could have easily led me into a professional pitfall. Who would have thought that invisible ties between an employer and an employee could extend their reach even years after parting ways? Up until yesterday's session, my understanding barely scratched the surface with the concept of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). It took a conversation with Victor Monga facilitated by #VirtuallyTestingFoundation, to shed light on the broader landscape of employment contracts. The revelation about NCAs opened my eyes to the fact that certain bonds could hinder an employee from pursuing opportunities in the same industry, long after bidding farewell to their current employer. Gratitude is owed to Virtually Testing Foundation for going beyond the realms of technical skills. Today, armed with newfound knowledge, I can navigate the professional landscape with a heightened awareness. 🙌🏻🐝Happy National Careers Week🐝🙌🏻 Today we were invited to attend Buxton & Leek College as an employer to present what opportunities can be made available to students following their qualifications📚 Hosting a talk on how to enter the industry, the value that can be had from completing their AAT qualifications, along with what doors this then opens for further professional development…. not forgetting how to truly showcase yourself through your CV🛩️ It was great to meet enthusiastic students, who expressed an interest in accounting and are keen to explore the world of apprenticeships🚀 My top tips for anyone for National Careers Week are; ✅If you are interested in an industry, call a local business and inquire about some work experience… the worst they can say is NO! ✅Gasp every opportunity, doors always open and close with hindsight being a wonderful thing. Live in the moment and make use of all opportunities presented to you. ✅Know your CV!
