According to the National Safety Council, August and September are among the deadliest months on the road. Therefore, it's essential to be mindful of the increased risks drivers face during this time of year. Many schools, non-profit organizations, and fleet operators have their drivers returning after summer break. It's imperative that these employees receive updated safe driver training before hitting the roads again. Staying up-to-date with your driving standards will not only help them maintain the safety of those in their care, but also contribute to the safety of other drivers on the road. Let's work together to ensure a safe driving environment for everyone. If you need help evaluating your safe driver training, don't hesitate to contact Fred C. This week is #RoadSafetyWeek, created by Brake – the road safety charity. Every year, 30,000 people receive serious and life-changing injuries from accidents on UK roads and more than a third of UK road deaths involve someone who was driving for work. Here are some ways that employers can encourage their team members to drive safely for work: - Provide training on safe driving practices - Create a safe driving policy - Ensure team members driving for work have hands-free kits and any other tech that will help them whilst on the road - Ensure that time between meetings or appointments are well thought out to avoid rushing - Reduce unnecessary trips by using virtual meetings or car sharing - Consider a pool car to be used for work that is well maintained - Consider walk to work or cycle to work schemes Our Personal Injury Lawyers at Barker Booth & Eastwood can help drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians who have been injured in a road traffic accident. https://bit.ly/45SPsJO #RoadTrafficAccidents #AccidentClaim #InjuryLawyer

Did you know that this week is Road Safety Week? The organisers, Brake, the road safety charity, are focusing this year on victims of road traffic collisions (RTCs) and the devastation and impact this has on so many people. Our resident Paramedic and Training Director, Matt, has attended many collisions. As with Brake, he and his former colleagues do not refer to RTCs as "accidents", but make a very conscious use of the word "collision". This use of language is so important as it is helpful to think of these collisions as preventable in so many circumstances. Whilst campaigning is ongoing to make our roads safer, we at TTT are asking this week... Would you know what to do if you were involved in, witnessed, or came across the scene of an RTC? We believe everyone should have a basic knowledge of how to help, what to do until qualified help arrives, to give people the best chance of living their best life after a collision and to keep us all safer. If you wouldn't know what to do, we would strongly urge you to register on a 1-Day Emergency First Aid course. You never know when you could make that difference. #RoadSafetyWeek

Road Safety Week It’s #RoadSafetyWeek! Every year, more than 1700 people die on UK roads with another 30,000-receiving life-changing injuries. While we’ve made much progress over the years through improved driver training, enhanced compliance, and embracing technology such as vehicle safety cameras, there’s still a long way to go This week, road safety charity Brake is highlighting the personal stories behind the statistics, advocating for the highest standard of care and support for every road victim. As an industry, we need to pull together to combat these shocking statistics and prevent further loss of life and injury that devastates individuals and families up and down the country. #RoadHaulage #RoadSafetyMatters #DrivingChange

Road Safety Week is coordinated annually by Brake and involves hundreds of schools, organisations and communities each year. Brake is a road safety charity that works to prevent road death and injury, make streets and communities safer, and supports the victims of road crashes. The theme of Road Safety Week 2024 is "Be a road safety hero", recognising everyone who helps to make our roads safer and support people after a crash, and explaining how we can all play a part in making journeys safer for everyone. No doubt our drivers play the biggest part in helping to keep our roads safer, while sometimes being the first on the scene of an accident or coming to the aid of a fellow motorist in need. #RoadSafetyWeek2024 #Transport #Logistics

National Road Victim Month is a time to reflect on the importance of road safety and the impact of road traffic accidents on individuals, families, and communities. Simple actions such as wearing seat belts, obeying speed limits, avoiding distractions, and never driving under the influence can save lives. Employers can also play a role by promoting road safety practices among employees, especially those who drive as part of their work. Let’s work together to create safer roads and reduce the risk of accidents. #stepsfoundationinc #samismyreason #lifeskills #osceolacounty #kissimmeeflorida #kissimmeefl #saintcloud #saintcloudfl #saintcloudflorida #stcloudfl #stcloud #stcloudflorida #poincianaflorida #poincianafl #celebrationflorida #celebrationfl #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization #ipledgetomakeadifference #nationalroadvictimmonth
