New blog: Sudden Sharp Pain in the Wrist https://lnkd.in/e-knQTuB Wrist pain is a common complaint, whether from an acute sports injury or too many hours logged at a keyboard. In fact, up to 1 in 5 adults* will experience sharp pain in their wrist at some point in their lives. As we continue to celebrate Hand Therapy Week, we tapped the expertise of SportsMed Union City Hand & Upper Extremity Specialist and Certified Hand Therapist Rebecca Lieberman, OTR/L, CHT to learn more about the causes of, treatment options for, and ways to prevent wrist pain. Our newest blog is full of tips & tricks, including easy exercises & stretches you can try at home. If you are experiencing wrist pain, it is recommended to see a qualified healthcare professional such as a Hand Therapist for evaluation and treatment. Rebecca said it best: “Our goal is to help you get back to your normal routine and preferred activities. We will work together to come up with a treatment plan that works best for you, and create an individualized program to target your personal goals and get you back to doing what you love.” *Source: BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders; citation linked in blog post
