Confession time: I treat my Spotify Wrapped like the ultimate year-end party invitation. The big reveal has always left me grinning as I rediscover old favorites, uncover hidden obsessions, and brag about those edgy tracks that barely anyone else has heard of. But this year, I’ll admit I left the “party” feeling a bit…underwhelmed. Instead of feeling like a handpicked playlist from a trusted friend who “just gets” me, it came off more like a rushed auto-generated mixtape. (Anyone else double-check if their top artist was actually their top artist? The timing, the packaging of it — it all seemed a bit... rushed?) But let’s be real—I’m still a certified Spotify superfan. I’m not here to dunk on the platform I’ve adored for years but instead, I’m here to imagine an even brighter future. What if super-users, emerging DJs, and self-proclaimed music curators like me could join forces with Spotify’s brilliant internal teams? Together, we could remix the formula and bring back that spark of genuine discovery, adding a layer of human curation that complements the algorithm’s speed and scale. I don’t have all the answers, but I’ve got a few potential ideas to explore. Let’s connect and explore new ways to make music discovery feel magical again, turning each Wrapped into a celebration that actually blows our minds — and maybe introduces us to a few songs we didn’t know we desperately needed. Spotify has guided my music journey, and I’d love to share that joy with new and emerging listeners as well! The joy — of discovering a new song and making it your month's hyper fixation — is truly unparallel. Here’s to reinventing the playlist party—one track, one playlist, and one Wrapped at a time. If any of this sounds interesting, reach out, and let’s chat! #spotify #spotifywrapped #AI #musicindustry #music

The future of playlists is here. Spotify just launched text-to-playlist. Type a prompt, get a playlist. Spotify’s new AI Playlist feature is a game-changer. Here’s how to use it: 1) Open the Spotify app and go to "Your Library" 2) Tap the "+" button at the top-right corner of the screen 3) Select "AI Playlist" from the drop-down menu 4) Type in a prompt describing the desired playlist vibe Spotify’s AI will then create a playlist of 30 songs that match your description. You can refine it by adding more prompts or tweaking the existing ones. This tool is not just for quick playlist creation. It helps you find new tracks that match specific aesthetics or moods. Spotify plans to keep improving this feature over the coming months. Expect more innovative tools as they continue to integrate AI into their platform. Get ready to explore music like never before. ♻️ Repost this if you think it's the future. Video from: Justine Moore on X

Spotify Wrapped is here—the annual tradition of discovering you spent 10,000 minutes listening to music, and somehow your most played song is still that “guilty pleasure” you’d rather not admit to anyone. Wrapped is a product experience that focuses on making “you” the star. It’s not about Spotify’s algorithms or tech—it’s about your moods, your moments, and your music. Whether it’s the heartbreak anthem you looped for weeks or the ‘lofi beats’ that got you through work chaos, Wrapped celebrates the journey you’ve had. It’s not, “Look what we did,” but, “Look what you accomplished.” That shift—from tech-centric to user-centric—is what makes it so memorable. The takeaway? Exceptional products don’t just serve a purpose—they build a connection, leaving users feeling seen, valued, and even a little proud. #SpotifyWrapped #ProductManagement #UserDelight #Storytelling

My Spotify Wrapped this year was very similar to my Wrapped in 2023... And in 2022. 🎧 I had been listening to a lot of the same songs. 🎸 I don't know much about music. I don't know the latest bands. I don't go to gigs. And I rarely drive, so I rarely listen to the radio. My song 'discovery system' is pretty non-existent. (I think we underestimate how much headphones reduce spontaneous discovery of new music: we simply don't hear what other people are listening to.) 🗣️ This all got me thinking about networks. Here's a thought experiment: if there was a company that gave you a break down of your Conversations Wrapped - showing you the people you spent the most time talking to in 2024 - would it be substantially different from the year before? Or the year before that? 👥 It's easy to get whorled into a narrow network - both at work and in our social lives. We spend a lot of time with the same people, talking about the same things. ✨ And this takes away the opportunity for spontaneous discovery of new things - and with it the opportunity to spark the connections between ideas that lead to innovations. And an innovation doesn't just have to be a product or service. It can be a new perspective on the world, a new way to ask a question, a new way to see yourself. 🎅 And this is all top of mind because I am going to Oli Barrett Christmas drinks this evening. A man who deliberately mixes up his network constantly - and with great charm. (I think also about Ben Brabyn and Tom McCallum who are helping others do it with their Walkabouts.) 🥂 So let's raise a glass this week to the new people in our lives in 2024. And look forward to a different enough network in 2025. Happy Christmas!

Spotify Wrapped is more than just a year-end music recap. It's a brilliantly crafted marketing campaign that taps into our innate human psychology.🎵✨ Let's break down how: -Nostalgia and Self-Reflection: We love looking back at our year and Spotify gives us a personalized, musical journey. It's like revisiting old photo albums, but with a soundtrack. -Social Currency: Sharing our Wrapped stories on social media gives us a sense of belonging and connection. -Gamification: The interactive experience of scrolling through our top artists, songs, and genres creates a sense of achievement and fun. -Personalized Experience: Spotify tailors the experience to each individual, making us feel special and understood. It's like receiving a custom-made gift. -Positive Reinforcement: We're rewarded for our listening habits. It's a subtle way of saying, "Hey, you've had a great year, keep it up!" Spotify Wrapped is a prime example of how to use psychology to create a memorable and engaging brand experience. It's a lesson in understanding your audience and tapping into their emotions. #SpotifyWrapped #DigitalMarketing #Psychology #MarketingStrategy #BrandExperience

It’s that time of year again when everyone’s talking about their Spotify Wrapped. And I’m here, seeing the flood of colorful charts and top artist lists. But here’s what I’ve been thinking: Spotify Wrapped isn’t just a cool feature - it’s a genius marketing move. Think about it. Spotify took something as simple as data... who we listened to, how often, and when... and turned it into something personal, engaging, and shareable. It’s not just stats, it’s an experience. They’ve managed to make a year’s worth of data feel meaningful. It’s one of the few things that actually helps us reflect on the year. We’re given a snapshot of our personal journey - from the songs we discovered to the genres that defined our mood. What I love most? It’s not just about listening to music - it’s about feeling that music. The nostalgia, the energy, the highs and lows. Spotify Wrapped turns data into emotion. Here’s what I’ve learned: → We all have a soundtrack to our lives. → Some songs define us, some just get us through. → The music doesn’t just fill silence, it holds meaning. Spotify Wrapped doesn’t just show you your listening habits. It gives you a story. Your story. And here’s the real genius: Spotify has managed to turn this into social currency. You don’t just get your stats, you get a shareable, brag-worthy post that makes you feel like you’re part of something bigger. For me, my top artist was The Weeknd - no surprise there. His music defined a lot of the year for me. What about you? Who topped your list this year, and what’s that one track you just couldn’t stop playing? #spotify #spotifywrapped #Weeknd #music #songs #personalgrowth

Spotify Wrapped: More Than Just a Playlist Spotify Wrapped is more than just a fun recap of your listening habits. It's a reflection of who you are, your experiences, and your connections. ‣ Self-Discovery: Your Wrapped list is a mirror to your soul, revealing your moods, passions, and growth throughout the year. ‣ Social Comparison: Sharing your list sparks conversations, connections, and even a bit of friendly competition. ‣ Community Building: Music brings people together, and Spotify Wrapped is a modern-day campfire around which we gather and share stories. Let's use this year's Wrapped as an opportunity to connect deeper with others. Don't just like their posts; start a conversation! On a personal note, my daughter has officially taken over my Spotify account. I'm now apparently a top 13% Taylor Swift fan. If anyone sees me singing "Anti-Hero," just pretend you didn't. 🙈 #NotMyMusic #DadLife #SpotifyWrapped #SelfReflection #SocialConnection
