Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the Jordan Winter Charity Drive! So far we have collected over 1.5 tons of donations which will be distributed to various local charities each week. 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊? Fill in and complete the registration form - https://bit.ly/3zmqciN Registration forms will also be available when you drop off your donations at the Estate. Visit the Estate during the allocated donating times to deliver your donation and collect your wine. (Daily from 10:00 – 16:00.) All clothing donations should be washed and folded as a health and safety precaution for our staff. All clothing donations should be packed in clear plastic bags. NO BLACK BAGS of clothing will be accepted. Dog and cat food is appreciated. What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time. Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this. Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know. #cio #leadership
TLDR: I've been working on something pretty cool! "The Maple Street Mantra: Help People, Serve Others, Be A Part Of The Community" is why I joined the team. I'm grateful to Maple Street Biscuit Company for allowing me to take on something so near and dear to who we are. *Maple Street Silly Socks* a portion of sock sales will go directly to LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services and U.F. Health, supporting their incredible work to maximize the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation. This is particularly meaningful because giving back has always been a big part of who I am. From working with the Miami Children's Initiative during my time at the University of Florida to my work with the Harrison County Community Foundation, I've seen firsthand the impact we can make when we come together. Corporate organizations are in a position to dynamically impact their communities. Huge thank you to Lancaster County Motors, Inc. for their incredible support of Meals on Wheels of Lancaster and our community as a whole! While you might think that donating funds is the most important part of that impact, there are actually multiple ways corporate organizations truly transform the communities they are in. Here are a few examples: 1. Allow employees to volunteer. Some organizations actually pay employees to volunteer at least 8 hours a year. Others let employees take time off to support volunteering efforts. Some go so far as to coordinate the event and encourage all employees to participate. Find a way that works best for your organization. 2. Bring exposure to community partners. Social media posts and other marketing efforts harness your brand to support community impact. 3. Host community partners at your facility. If you have space, non-profits are often needing locations to host fundraising events and hold meetings. Your space can do good too! Lancaster County Motors Subaru is proud to announce that during the 2023 Subaru Share the Love® Event in November and December 2023, Lancaster County Motors Subaru and our Clients donated $56,000 to two local charities! Our 2023 partners were Meals on Wheels of Lancaster and A WEEK AWAY FOUNDATION. Yesterday, LCM Subaru General Manager Jonathan F. presented each charity with a check for $28,000. This week, Phi Kappa Psi collaborated with the Hunters Fund, a foundation dedicated to supporting the interests of young people and raising awareness to end distracted/impaired driving. We thank all participants and supporters for their contributions to our cause. Throughout this week, we have successfully raised $7,860 and signed 1,616 pledge cards. Our campaign officially ends on December 31st. If you are interested in participating, please click the link below. https://lnkd.in/giCEmvZZ There are two ways to help support this cause. 1. Donations help our cause a lot; every donation goes back to Hunters Fund, an impeccable organization that eliminates this everyday habit. 2. Sign a pledge card. The cards include your name and the words, “I will end distracted and impaired driving.” The more pledges we get signed, the better for all of us! The more pledge cards we get signed physically or electronically, the more we will reduce distracted driving deaths.

This initiative to donate breakfast items to FareShare UK in partnership with Arla Foods UK is commendable and addresses a crucial need for vulnerable and disadvantaged populations. However, it's important to critically examine the impact of such donations in the broader context of addressing food insecurity. While immediate relief is provided, long-term solutions to systemic issues of poverty and inequality should also be considered. Additionally, assessing the sustainability and scalability of such partnerships is essential to ensure lasting impact beyond the immediate donation.
We're really proud to have partnered with Arla Foods UK to donate the equivalent of 1.25 million breakfasts to FareShare UK 🥣 The donation of Shreddies and Cravendale milk will help to build breakfasts for organisations that support vulnerable and disadvantaged people. The dedicated team at our Staverton factory made this donation possible, producing additional stock to enable us to make a positive difference to the lives of thousands of families across the UK. Jars (clean spaghetti sauce jars, pickle, mason, any & all!), old vases, & glass containers that can be used as bedside vases would be SO wonderful! Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed. I so appreciate the efforts of PVT’s employees organizing this effort to bring supplies to those in need. Chris & Tabitha Davis , Cassie Florez , Daniel Rodriguez, SHRM-CP and Ross Horner.
PVT would like to thank people in our communities for dropping off donations, and special thanks to Oasis Christian Fellowship in Carlsbad. Last night, PVT employees delivered the first truckload to the Mescalero Community Center. Two more truckloads to follow.
