Over 1.1 million acres protected, another 1.1 million to go. We have seen some big wins since the launch of the #MobilizingForMonuments campaign. The designations and expansions of the Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni - Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon, Berryessa Snow Mountain, and San Gabriel Mountains National Monuments show us that our advocacy is working. The work is not done, though. We are still pushing state and federal governments to establish the Chuckwalla, Kw'tsán, Dolores River Canyon Country, and Medicine Lake Highlands National Monuments. Doing so would benefit not only the environment, but also local economies, communities, and wildlife. Learn more about these regions and partner with us in efforts to protect them at mobilizingformonuments.com.
