Helping anxious, stressed, burnt out professionals, students & executives land in a life worth living. | Life-Changing Clinical Counselling & Occupational Therapy Team | Free Consults

I was chatting with another Clinic Owner yesterday about the difference a mindset of abundance & community over competition & scarcity makes in owning a clinic and in running a business as a therapist in general. The two of us believe there is more than enough work to go around and that it’s more important to do business by connecting deeply and thinking about clients and our team getting the right fit for their needs than it is to be competitive or to get caught in notions like “poaching” or “stealing.” We agreed these words have no place in a truly therapeutic environment, as they are based in fear, scarcity, and a fixed mindset — all things we work so hard to help clients address! We believe therapy belongs to the client, and associates (whether employees or contractors), deserve to be supported in making whatever choices make the most sense for their life - whether that seems on the surface to support the clinic’s needs or not. We believe in community, care, connection, and collaboration over competition/ scarcity, and we kinda really hope this mindset hits with more and more clinic owners and therapists in private practice because it just feels so much better for everyone, and at the end of the day, it is so much more client centred and helpful.

Absolutely true, abundance is a mindset that gets cultivated. There's so much opportunity for good when practice owners collaborate.

I completely agree! Thank you for showing that other clinic owners and therapists share the same values as I do. 🥰
