When you’re on a panel or being interviewed, avoid political questions wherever possible—they can be polarizing and distract from the conversation’s purpose. In this case, I had no choice. So here is what I did. I had the privilege of speaking at an event organized by the American Marketing Association (AMA), Toronto, sharing the stage with the legendary Judy Lewis from one of Canada's most award-winning agencies - Strategic Objectives. Judy asked me about the role influencers played in Trump's win. I answered her question, but as you will hear, I did so in a manner where the answer could be of material value to anyone in marketing or marketing. I didn't distract or deflect. My strategy was to be relevant to their world versus turn it into Trump versus Biden. Listen and let me know if you agree with my thinking about the role Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Kid Rock played in Trump's win and how essential insights are on the people who matter most to you: customers, prospects, employees, suppliers and influencers. 💯 Trump's bromance with Elon & Joe Rogan led to his win. When Joe Rogan's podcast has more eyeballs than all traditional media vehicles combined, it's a no brainer.🤷♀️ 💫 And Tony, Harris had similar messaging but was a whole heck of a lot more authentic - she lived the life of the middle class. She really understands the struggles we are facing. Trump has never stepped foot in a grocery store as evidenced by his many ignorant comments...."apples in the refrigerated section.." 😳. The only reason Trump won was bc of his bromances. Period. 🤓

In listening to you, Tony, I'd like all of those companies and businesses that actively engage in ageism, to listen. You're a lot more with it, then what I see today. We used to say that timing-is-everything, and that, is exactly what happened; in my estimation. Your words right true. You have credibility :} I'd comment on the rest, but it's definitely not my area of expertise...

Love what you did here and it's bang on. If you don't like what's being said...change the conversation. Your response had nothing to do with who you supported - you side stepped it completely and gave a very legitimate argument in what happened, the power of credibility, putting yourself in the shine of others. Well said!
