What does switching sectors actually look like? Meet Ashmita Randhawa, DPhil. She left India to study biomechanical engineering in the United States, moved to Brussels to work on consumer products at Proctor and Gamble, then gained an interest in skills development that she decided to pursue at Oxford University. She now acts as a bridge between academia and university in her role as director of research and development and lead for Digital Catapult North East Tees Valley at Sunderland Software City. In our 101 Jobs: Switching Sectors series, we're sharing stories from across the research system of people who haven't followed a linear career path. Ashmita champions innovation as a catalyst for sustainable development, embracing local talent and resources. Through collaboration and forward-thinking initiatives, she drives prosperity and progress across the North East. We are proud to have her at the helm of Digital Catapult North East Tees Valley.
