"Technology has long been used to boost seller productivity, but sales leaders are telling us that efficiency gains have become slower and more expensive. This is because technology intended to help sell frequently makes the salesperson’s job more cumbersome. Sales organizations’ tendency to run most tasks through the sales rep requires an increasing number of complex systems to support." Everyone is overloaded with information, including sellers and sales people. However, this is fairly consistent with most big data initiatives: people don't want dashboards, visuals and more data to sift through. There are two primary reasons. First, people want to be guided to understandable actions and not subjective hemming and hawing. Second, everyone is selling data insights, and many businesses have many, often disjointed or competing insights solutions leaving the users to confused or having to feel like they need to pick one or the other. Focus on delivering the right actionable insight to the right person at the right time. Everyone, including the customer, benefits from being able to more accurately identify business problems and finding the solutions to address them. https://lnkd.in/g3RYYt4Y
