A great blog. We are not going to get coherent food system outcomes without coherent food system actions and coherent food systems policy is a big part of that. Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and AKADEMIYA2063 are working on a tool to help governments assess their current policy coherence. Watch this space.

Perfect coherence among all food-related policies for all outcomes is unlikely to be achieved. This may not be desirable, given the coordination and alignment costs and possibly minor effects in the levels of incoherence. However, identifying and managing the most important synergies and trade-offs, governments can achieve ‘good enough coherence’ and get all oars pulling in the same direction towards their most important goals. #healthierdietsforAll

World is moving fast and everything is required at the snap of the finger. We are upgrading ourselves from 30 min delivery of #Pizza to 10 min delivery of any #food. We love the excitement of getting food delivered to us in 10 min and some even love tarnishing the image of the delivery boy and #aggregator like #Swiggy & #Zomato if the food reaches in the 11th min (sic). While we love the front-end experience of 10 min delivery, we have failed to look at the back-end and ask the question and understand how a food can be prepared and delivered in 10 min. Most often it is the precooked, processed or #frozenfood that gets reheated and then shipped to you. A vast majority of them has less nutrients and more harmful ingredients compared to #freshfood.
